> 3 dayI got this just for the CPU, the heatsink will remain in the box. I highly recommend a 3rd party heatsink. However, I can use the fan it arrived with for a extra one for the back of the tower. The CPU alone is worth every cent.

Greater than one weekThis is a good processor for mixed workloads. Im doing productivity during the day with light gaming in off hours and I havent been able to stress it too much yet. Full disclosure, Ive done a very light OC on it to bring it up a little from base, but especially for a gaming build where youre not expecting to turn around and also use it in very CPU intensive work, youll be fine with the stock speed and cooler.

> 3 dayComing from an FX-8350 4.2 Ghz, this new cpu just runs circles around the old stuff. It overclocks easy also, but it can get warm over 4 Ghz. Im running it at 3.8 GHz with a liquid cooled system, a nice compromise of speed and heat.

> 3 dayMy last system was running a FX 3100, so quite a big jump up to a 2700, still, everything was smooth and fast, Id compare it to my friends coffee lake i7 and this performed below in games by a few FPS however in day to day use such as programing and web browsing the extra cores are unstoppable.
