Buy it if you are into video editing etc.It is better in editing than i7 9700k as it has got 16 threads as compared to 8 threads of i7.For gaming also it is not a bad option

Amazing cpu e-z installation and beautiful wraith cooler

Bought this to replace a Ryzen 3, it was defective out of the box, local computer shop and phone call with Microsoft confirmed this. Working with Amazon to come to a resolution still. I think it was an isolated incident as the replacement Ryzen 5 I just purchased is working great. AMD offers zero support for their products except an email support that never gets returned.

the CPU itself is amazing for the money. i got this CPU when the price dropped originally i was going to go for the ryzen 5 2600 but when the price went down, i opted for the 8 core. amazing performance, good tdp and it runs even the most demanding games. this processor is good for gaming and high demanding tasks like rendering videos. only minor issue is the clock speed is lower than i expected but, that can be fixed with a good cooler and overclocking. I say just buy it you wont be disappointed.
