> 3 dayi bought at microcenter but will leave my review here so others can see, it is a great 6 core cpu and id say its worth the upgrade from the 3600x 100% because since it has a 19 percent ipc uplift its 4.6 ghz is 19 percent more per .1 ghz than the 3600x it beats the 10700k at everything but red dead redemption by like 2 frams yet costs basically the same and if you pair it with a 6800 or 6800xt it will have like a 10 percent upgrade by it self with smart access memory enable

11-11-2024For the money spent, this is probably the best CPU you can buy to put you in any kind of power player league. I can get over 250 FPS and never have a hickup.

> 3 dayBeen running a ryzen 2400g for a couple of years. Originally bought it to run without a discrete gpu, but added a graphics card later. Ive been waiting for a decent price on a more powerful cpu for a long time. A couple of years ago I jumped on the ryzen 1600af for my sons build. Great chip and more powerful than my 2400 for only $80. Missed buying one for myself and the afs went through the roof. The 5600x has been on my mind for a while. It drops into 450 class motherboards and is a smokin hot cpu. Unfortunately its been stuck at its original release price of $300 (or higher) for a while. Once Intel dropped its newest chips the pressure was back on AMD. Took a while, but they finally dropped the price 25%. Jumped on it immediately. Upgraded the bios on my MSI motherboard, replace the 2400g with the 5600x and rebooted. System is much more snappy than before. Now have the option of upgrading to Windows 11 (couldnt do it on the 2400g, which is stupid since it updated just fine on my less powerful 4500u based laptop), though Im not sure Im down to do it. Ran a game off Steam to see the difference, much quicker. I havent gone to the darkside (Intel) in my builds since my Pentium Pro 180 build 25 years ago. So glad AMD has gotten their crap together and made it competitive. Everyone wins. If youre considering building a powerful pc on the cheap dont hesitate to grab this cpu. Itll handle anything you can throw at it.
