Great cpu

My first amd pc in 25 yeas, i was amazed, for gaming and 4k editing, perfect!

bought this for a new build, put it in the brand new mother board, finished the build and it fired right up. I used the cooler and fan that came with it for about a week until i could get my liquid cooler installed. even with that i didnt have any over heating problems, stays around 35 degrees celcius while idle and 38 to 40 during a heavy gaming session.

Was difficult to get working with my b350 board, but that was more to do with the board not the cpu

I just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1500x and RX 570 combo. Now I have a 3600 and a rx 5600 xt. Overall, I am seeing double the performance numbers in both categories. Testing in 3D mark, without any overclocking, I hit 7700 in time spy. And unlike some problems I read about with the 3600 early release, I am able to hit that 4200Mhz turbo clock.

No need for a new chip any time soon!

Those gorgeous sparkly pins... it felt so good to stick them into the MOBO’s CPU socket. I’m good for another decade - Upgraded from an FX8350.

Fast, affordable, and plays everything I need it to and does it very well... now if the GPU shenanigans would end.
