6 cores, 12 threads — thats not something Intel can offer in the same price range which automatically turns Ryzen 3600 into a leader. Its a powerful modern CPU, and a mainstream one at that. I cant think of a single technical review that doesnt recommend it. If you are trying to decide between 3600 and 3600X I suggest to go with whichever costs less. It seems both are overclockable to the same frequencies on average, so its not clear if 3600X is worth the premium. In terms of stock fans, either option isnt perfect. Unless you like noise, you would want to get a proper cooler (I have a hyper evo 212)

I was going to go with the 3700X, but after piecing together my build, I settled for the 3600 due to financial constraints - and I am not disappointed. This CPU is paired with a 5700XT and an Asus x570i Strix and there is no CPU throttling whatsoever.

Great value for money. Most B450 boards are now made/shipped with the bios able to run this chip (AMD 3000 series ready). The stock cooler is not great because the 3600 can reach 80-90 C under load. It is also slightly loud so buying a Hyper 212 is a good idea but not necessary if youre on a budget.
