Good CPU for general computing, especially if you can pick one up cheaply. Absolutely great for gaming and unless you have one of the very latest GPUs, this CPU wont limit your performance.

For the money that you put in buying this CPU(ZEN 3 RYZEN 5), you get an incredible performance for the value. It just obliterates any other CPUs in this price range that I know of. I would recommend getting a cooler maybe a corsair aio or a noctua air cooler if youre going to put some heavy load on it and youre a power user. For many the fan included in the box will do just fine. Im telling you if you get this together to go with some of the X570 motherboards that are made for 3rd gen ryzen youll be way happier with your investment. I coupled this with gigabyte X570 aorus elite wifi motherboard after a lot of research and Im happy with my decision. The X570 comes with some Gen 4 pcie slots that are future ready. If youre a gamer, Id say go with this configuration and maybe invest more money on the Graphics card itself.

This was a great chip whist it lasted ! 14 months and it just went light on mother board and power just wouldn’t boot - replace it cost another £160 !

Had to update my bios for it to work. Even though I already had the version that should have worked.
