Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

I purchased this external hard drive to use as a back up for my laptop. It works great.

Works like a carry case should work ! Zipper is strong and goes back and forth. Hard drive fits snugly inside.

Fits WD Passport (1TB and 2 TB), WD Essential (2 TB) external hard drives perfectly. I only wish it came in more colors. I own two of them.

It’s somewhat firm clamshell with a zipper closure. One side has an elastic strap and the other some netting. It definitely fits the Seagate Backup plus Slim 2TB (STDR2000101) on one side and the USB 3.0 cable on the other (behind the netting); and that’s with room to spare. The zipper mechanism seems a bit flimsy. I’ve been gentle with it and it hasn’t failed me yet. But honestly it’s good enough for $6. I noticed some have reported leaching of the orange tint on their drives but I put a moist paper towel in it overnight without a trace of color transfer. So I can’t duplicate their failure. 3 stars + 1 star for being inexpensive
