> 3 dayIm not a Computer geek. It took a long time to finally decided on which direction I wanted to go, but after talking to friends and family, I decided to get a new PC for home use and Gaming. I had a team of helpers trying to build me a custom unit and shop for the latest and greatest. It was getting frustrating, but to make this long story short, This Alienware Aurora R14 Gaming Desktop was the best bang for the buck. We tried building the same unit and could not get close to the price it was selling for on Amazon, average savings was $500+ and it is already assembled, no waiting for parts to come in. So to sum it up. PRO Great performance and speed Already assembled Cheaper then building your own for now HUGE DIFFERANCE COMPAIRED TO XBOX ONE : ) CON Keyboard and Mouse included are cheap. Invest in Alienware keyboard and mouse. Also Invested in 240 hertz monitor. but I can see you lol Fan cooling system is very effective, but noticeable when she kicks into high gear, seems to attract a lot of Dust.. Wish the was an air filter. Makes me feel dirty, but to be fair I was told Im overreacting. lol So for now I give it 2 thumbs up..

> 3 dayI have had this PC for four days now and it sits here with the “Blue screen of death” on the screen. A very long sad story, but I will greatly condense. Day one - I followed on screen prompts including doing a system restore where I had to reload all programs. Day two - After about an hour on phone with Amazon tech support, which elevated all the way up to “Check to be sure the USB cables are plugged in”, I was actually connected to a Dell Alienware Aurora Tech who stated that they were well aware of my problem and he knew how to fix it. After several hours of remote access and upgrades, he went away and the Blue Screen came back. Day three - Dell service tech would not respond to my email asking for help. I called the extended warranty group, and after reading him the actual details of the warranty, he connected me to another tech. After several hours of remote access, he went away and the Blue Screen came back. Day four - I email both techs and get no response. I called warranty company and this time the contact person did not want to help me beyond telling me to send it back. After I read the warranty to him two or three times, he transferred me to a medical facility. I called Amazon and asked that a replacement be sent and I would verify it worked before returning the first PC. Delivery is one week. Nothing takes Amazon a week. Tonight I finally get a reply from Dell tech wanting to know what day and time would be good to work on the PC. I replied that I had asked Amazon for a replacement. The extended warranty may be a good thing, but all the help it says they will extend during installation is mostly words on a piece of paper. I will update this review when something happens. I have purchased several Dell computers, never having this much trouble. UPDATE: I received the replacement R14 per Amazon’s promise date. I loaded the same programs I had loaded on the faulty R14 and it has been running over the weekend as a new Dell should.

Greater than one weekLove this computer. Upgraded from a home built I put together over 5 years ago. Video from 1060GTX to a 3080RTX so...woohoo! Play Black Desert Online in remastered mode and it looks like a picture. Fan makes some noise as others have said, but I consider it minimal, its really not bad. Looks awesome, performs even better! Got a good deal on Prime Days, so Ive had it for around a month, (saved close to $600). Runs fine, temps midrange so liquid cooling doing its job. Again, its not all that loud. I use headphones for the game and I cant even hear it even though Im sitting right next to it. Would definitely recommend. (Ryzen 5900x, 32mb ddr4, 1tb ssd plus a 2tb hdd) I think this should last me awhile.

> 3 dayChanged my mind this computer is complete trash. It’s the worst investment I made. I’m going to have to upgrade and buy all the parts myself and will end up costing me double. It runs just like a cheap $200 computer you can get at Walmart and I think that’s an insult to Walmart computers compared to how bad this runs

> 3 dayOK I bought this computer for my business because I wanted a computer with liquid cooling. It sounds crazy but over time, dust an lint around my home block the cooling fins and cause my microprocessors to fail from heat. Since it has a screaming video card, I tried Star Citizen on it, which I have never been able to play, and it works perfectly. So all in all, I am very happy with this computer. Also Win11 was very easy to transfer all my old programs and files over. I only spent about 1 day in computer hell getting everything up and running.

27-10-2024Received computer, set it up and ran it for 24 hours, over night I am guessing it performed windows updates or something but it was stuck at black screen. Contacted dell who, trouble shoot issue and said mobo was bad. They refused to replace entire thing they wanted to send out a 3rd party tech who may or may not be competent enough to basically replace the heart of the computer, then put everything back properly including CPU and liquid cooling.... No thanks. I called Amazon and they had replacement sent out immediately. Otherwise great system for the price.

Greater than one weekNot sure what the deal was, but this PC had a corrupted Windows installation right off the bat. It would give blue screen after blue screen when attempting to boot into Windows. Fortunately, I was able to factory reset the Windows installation via the Alienware image in OS recovery. After that, everything has been working wonderfully. Hell of a deal on Prime Day, too; about $1k off the usual list price.

> 3 dayI bought the computer on black Friday 2022. When I checked the tech insurance since the computer works very slow, I found it started since May 2022. So, I called Alien tech support, and the technician told me the owners name is Ryan Wang, definitely not me! And he did remote analysis on the computer and told me it works very slow and tried to upload the software. But FAILED! Then he asked to reset the computer to its factory setting, and I found someone put a lock key to the computer! It was very frustrating! I really need a refund! They cannot sell something pre-owned at such a high price!

> 3 dayThe reason Im giving this one star is that when one buys a $2600 computer, one expects it to work without getting blue screen errors within the first week. I started receiving BSOD errors while I was away from my computer (no games were running) on a regular basis within the first few days of using this computer. I did a fresh install of windows 10 (downgraded from 11). The computer seems a lot more responsive on first reboot with a fresh windows 10. The alienware control center is ABSOLUTE JUNK SOFTWARE. You will experience this yourself. You only need it to control lights, you can still overclock from the BIOS. I recommend never installing any dell/alienware software if you can help it. I will know in a few days if the BSOD issue is resolved with the fresh windows10 install and no dell junk software. If you buy this PC, expect to have to do some work to make it run properly, even though you shouldnt need to do this at this price point. Update: I have not gotten any BSOD in at least a week since installing win10 and removing dell junk Updating this to 3 stars. Minus 2 stars for Dell junk messing up an otherwise great computer
