When using the small wire tips, it is highly advisable that you wear a protective jacket, somewhat thick that you don’t care about getting wire fibers in. Keep that jacket out of the house and away from your other items. I would advise safety glasses, or a face shield 100%. Mandatory. These tiny bristles fire off at rocket speeds, and shoot right into your face and body. I would advise using this outside because the wire fibers get into everything when they start to fly . They tops don’t last very long. I am not aggressive when I’m using these and they break apart relatively quickly. Ironically, I’ve tried some of the better name brands, and they only work a little bit better , but do cost more . JMO

Bought these to detail my engine, and engine compartment. Needed to get rid of corrosion, rust, and deterioration of my engines aluminum (unsure what exactly it was - pitted and discolored). These are way smaller than I was expecting, and did not last very long (especially the ones that have the perpendicular wires). With a high speed, I was going through these things at a rate of about 1 per 3-5 minutes, depending on which brush I was using. Unfortunately, they dont wear down the brushes like I was expecting (unsure if other brands do), the wires simply become detached, which results in you being pelted with little metal wires. definitely USE GOGGLES, and (assuming you are using these for a sizable amount of time - about 4 hours in my case (during which time I went through almost all 60 wire brushes)) count on having to throw away the clothes you were wearing, or spend hours picking out wires, which is even more difficult than it sounds. That said, they did the job, and Im sure glad it came with so many. If other brands have the same issue, this task would have been ridiculously expensive.

These are not as good as Dremel brand, but they last for a decent amount of time if used for what they are intended for. I restore old small equipment engines and these work fine for polishing and cleaning small parts. Other reviews say they do not last, but they are obviously using them for things that they are not intended. These are not made for removing heavy rust or paint. Definitely worth the price for what you get.

I wish the wires in the brushes would stay in place. They go flying out quickly. Make sure you use eye protection!

I’ve purchased this same type of set in the past from other vendors & they did not hold up as well as these. Very happy to have received a good quality product. Thank you!!

Even though I used safety glasses, within a few minutes of using them I was showered with tiny, dangerous pieces of sharp wire being thrown in all directions! I used them to strip paint from an antique floor lamp, and each one was only good for about 4 square inches of work area before they literally came apart. These are very dangerous!

They will not last long before loosing bristles. I get about 1 hour out of each brush.

I do a LOT of detail work, so I run through lots of these. I made the mistake of buying some no-name brushes on the basis of price alone. They flew apart while in operation, throwing little bits of wire everywhere. These dont do that. They are not quite the same quality as those made by Dremel, but considering that Dremel gets around $5 for two of them, these are a bargain that get the job done.

These wire wheels are very cheaply made - I guess thats why they cost $.28/piece. They work fairly well on a 2-speed Dremel rotary tool on LOW speed, but when you go to HIGH speed they fall apart. Literally. I was using these brushes to clean out old lock tite and gasket seal from the threads on M6 and M8 engine casing bolts before reinstalling the bolts. I switched to HIGH speed and I was suddenly being pelted by metal fibers! I had metal fibers stuck all over my shirt, and the wire brush ended up looking like a porcupine that was having a very bad day. Not recommended unless youre only going to use these brushes on LOW speed.

I was excited to receive these since there were 60 pcs for about $20, instead of $5 per wheel for the Dremel brand wheels. My project was removing rust from heavy iron grilling grates. I had already used the only two wire brush heads that came with my original Dremel Tool set, they were enough to almost finish one whole grate (in the first pic) front and back. When I got this set, after less than 10 minutes eight brushes were already worn out (they only lasted a couple minutes each, and one of the brush heads flew out altogether the first moment it made contact with the grate (in the second pic). Additionally (and nearly as frustrating) while I was working with them, I could feel the tiny wires (in the third pic) flying off the brush head and hitting me in the face/neck/body. After I decided to stop because I could tell I was gonna burn through the whole set and not even finish a single grate, it took me about 20 minutes to stand there and pull out dozens and dozens of tiny steel wires from my clothes and skin. And if you dont take them out they stay in your clothes and feel like needles are pricking you throughout the day. Unfortunately this was a terrible product for me. Im surprised the other reviews are so positive. Maybe if youre only using them for something very light duty, they might work better, but I dont see the point of a light duty carbon steel wire brush.
