> 24 hourBought this set to do a plumbing project, but I also wanted to have a variety of sizes on hand. This seemed like a nice homeowner quality set. looks very nice and complete...but you better have a drill with a 1/2 chuck. They give you two mandrels in the set and I figured the smaller one would fit my 3/8 drill. Nope. They are both too big! Luckily I have a big hammer drill with a large chuck so I was able to use the set for my project. Thats all well and good but there are a lot of places this monster drill would not fit. I only used 1 size for three holes and it seems to cut clean without much effort. I cant speak to longevity, but quality seems reasonable at the price. Bummer about the mandrels.

> 24 hourThis complete kit is excellent. Very sharp cutters. It includes an inch and a quarter, which many kits leave out. Super value. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourIt was my first time using a hole saw so had to fiddle to figure it out. I get it that its a tool and may not necessarily come with instructions but it would be nice to have as some parts are not intuitive. I put the drill bit assemby it came with and hole saw bit together the first time with the result if it being loose. I flipped one of the threaded components (the bolt) and it came out tighter. It was also odd that tightening is by turning left instead of right. This may be standard with other kits but I find that the starter drill bit could be shorter, perhaps I can find an adapter and use my other drill bits. So far only used one but it seems to work fine. Good variety if sizes.

> 24 hourDont expect this to last you a long time. We have used one blade and it was beginning to dull before we even cut through the side of a cabinet (particle board, not even hardwood).... So, I expect well get about one use out of each size we have to use. Didnt expect it to be disposable but thats about what it is. I worried when I got it because the shank was huge .... but the chuck on my husbands Craftsman did manage to open enough to hold it - definitely a 1/2 shank on the mandrels.
