> 3 dayGreat laptop for our soon-to-be college student this fall. Need a solid computer for online class work, look no further. Our son loves it. It is a great size and does everything he needs it to do -- at an affordable price(!). No, it is NOT a high performing, accelerated graphics, gaming computer, so if that is your thing, look elsewhere. But it gets the job done for all your basic academic computer needs.

> 3 dayNot a terribly expensive laptop but not a terribly well built laptop either. Everything is cheap plastic, the keys feel like they could snap at any moment and the screens a little glitchy.

> 3 dayI had to contact HP Tech support to get out of Window S mode. It had me limited to Microsoft store and was charging me to down load apps like Google Chrome. The tech guy told me that the Microsoft store gives me added protection and once opted out I will need to buy virus protection. I told him that Google Chrome already comes with virus protection. Once I down loaded Chrome, I couldnt down load apps from Chrome to the computer. I guess Chrome and Windows are now separated, but Chrome has more free apps and Microsoft makes you pay for apps. Look, all of these computers are basically the same being Chrome the largest provider for apps you dig? Might as well get yourself a Chrome book. I might end up returning this laptop because it seems like my budget Acer Chrome book preforms better. I bought this HP laptop for future remote work because it has windows 10 and a SSD card. If an employer wants me to download a job app for remote work Ill probably have to do it through a Windows system. Ill be able to down load it using Window 10 Home. The laptop is sluggish and keeps asking me about page translation to English or Spanish. Sometimes the page just shrinks without me clearing the screen. I will give an update later, but its important for your laptop to be unlocked. Im a truck driver preparing to leave that career for remote work, or until these carriers start paying big money. UPDATE: Im returning the Laptop back for Windows 10 Home, further it crashed. Im looking for something else.

> 3 dayDid not like Windows S. Battery life not mentioned in specs and only about 5 or 6 hours.

> 3 dayI see lots of posts complaining it comes with Windows 10S Home and not Windows 10 Home, but its an easy switch. Searching the settings allows you to switch versions and download any app you need. The SSD makes for a super-fast boot. The size does limit the amount you can put on that but an external drive or even an SD card will help with that. Its even good enough to upgrade to Windows 11! One drawback is when doing heavy graphic or file conversion it does slow down and get hot, the core temp peeks around 90C.
