> 3 dayDon’t be alarmed by the small opening. It will stretch over the cast and once pulled up creates the seal to prevent any leaking.

> 3 dayThis kept the water out. The feature that allows this without a particular sealing mechanism leaves the opening to insert your foot and leg a bit on the tight side (on a 54 145 lbs female). If going over a large cast or such, it will be difficult. Going over a wound wrapped foot and calf, it works well.

> 3 dayWhen I first opened the bag I didn’t think it was going to work. Long plastic bag with hole in top. However to my surprise, the bag stretched over the cast and come up in my leg and it was tight. Didn’t let water in. I’ve used the same bag twice now and let it dry between use. It’s a great product for lower leg casts. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI have several wounds of various sizes on my legs. This product has made it possible to more easily shower. I used a similar product prior that was much more cumbersome that requires assistance to put on and remove.

Greater than one weekUpdated 04/25/23 After 6 weeks of using it with the back-slab splint in the shower, the first of the 2 covers have worked perfectly. The flexible top seal is still tight and has not torn. I have now graduated to an orthopedic boot and the cover is still flexible enough to fit over the boot without tearing. I still have the second cover to fall back on but the way things are going, I doubt I will need it. Great product. I am in a back-slab soft cast for 6 weeks after ankle/foot surgery. I have been using this product for 2 weeks now and it has performed very well. It has a nice flexible top seal that stretches over the wide parts of the cast at the toes and heel without deformity. The material is a nice mil thickness for durability. I do use one wrap of flex tape around the top but not positive I need it; just OCD I guess. Not sure I will need the second sleeve during the 6 weeks. Works as advertised.

> 3 dayThese are awesome. I’m in a boot after having foot surgery and while it’s a little hard to get it on over the boot, it’s definitely do-able and that’s exactly what makes a good seal around my leg. I’ve used one of these three times so far with no leakage at all and I’m sure I’ll get at least a couple more uses out of it.

Greater than one weekLet me just start by saying that if youre in a situation where you need a waterproof cast cover for the shower, things are probably not going great. But fear not, my friends, because the world of waterproof cast covers is here to save the day. Or at least, save your cast from getting all soggy and gross in the shower. Now, lets talk about these bad boys. First off, they look like something out of a sci-fi movie. I mean, who knew that a clear plastic bag could be so high-tech? And the way they seal up around your arm or leg? Its like a vacuum seal for your appendage. I half expect to be able to survive in outer space with one of these on. But lets get real here. The real test of a waterproof cast cover is how well it actually works. And let me tell you, its a mixed bag. Sure, they keep the water out, but at what cost? Theyre so tight and restrictive, its like wearing a tourniquet on your limb. And if youre not careful, you can get some serious rubber burn from the tight seal. Its like they want to protect your cast from water, but at the same time, they want to suffocate it. And dont even get me started on trying to take one of these off. Its like wrestling with a plastic bag thats been vacuum-sealed onto your body. Ive had to enlist the help of three friends just to get one of these things off before. Its like a team-building exercise, but instead of building a tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows, youre trying to remove a cast cover without causing permanent damage. All in all, waterproof cast covers are a necessary evil. They may not be the most comfortable or easy to use, but they do the job. And if you can survive the experience of putting one on and taking it off, you can survive anything.
