> 3 dayIm confused on the negative comments. For the price, what do you want? Ive probably have two or three of these drill sets over the years. Why I keep losing them I have no idea, but this set is every bit as good or better. I had a lot of holes to cut and the first cut was as smooth as the last. As a suggestion, dont ever smoke them. Take your time cutting the holes, pulling out the blade and blowing out the sawdust a few times. Takes a few seconds more but a lot less wear and tear. I have no problem with the quality.

> 3 dayMetal is too thin and bends. Used the 2.5 to make a hole in 1 plywood and saw shank bent making the saw teeth not flat against the board. Then the shank ripped through the flat portions that keep the saw from rotating around the shank, becoming useless. I didnt even finish the first hole I was cutting. Next up I tried putting the drill bit in the small arbor to use the 1 hole saw. The set screw sticks out enough to interfere with the locking nut making everything uneven and unbalanced. Totally useless.

Greater than one weekThe pilot hole drill will not get through anything at all, it failed to make a hole through MDF. One of the larger diameter saws bent out of shape on the first use drilling some MDF. The metal used for the drills is complete garbage, yeah its cheap but for a bit more you could get something a lot nicer that actually lasts a single use.

29-10-2024Ive rated only 2 stars because there were NO instructions from the seller/manufacturer, Ryker. Seems to be an issue, because theres nothing on their website either (in fact, there are complaints about... no instructions. Now, I LOVE puzzles. But not when Im trying to figure out how to put together drill bits. Im new to using hole saw sets... I figured it out eventually (the drill bit must be switched over for the 1 hole (the only hole size that needs to switch, far as I can tell. Why not just put a bit on that size as well so as to not have to mess with the tiny hex wrench? Dumb plan on their part...cheap). Will update once I give them a try... I posted this because I just wasted my time trying to figure out WTH.

> 3 dayI uses this on sheets of plywood and I struggle to get the 2 and 2 1/4 pieces apart. I have used it on fir and I think maple. It seems like it struggles to cut through a little bit but the maple it actually split some of it on the backside so it looks bad. Luckily I will be covering it in carpet so it wont be seen but I still had to touch it up so the carpet doesnt get cut up. Overall gets the job done but wouldnt buy it for any specialized projects or anything fancy.

> 3 dayI bought this to cut holes in my mirror so that I can put lights threw it in the back to make a vanity and I thought my mirror was wood and it was not wood it was plastic! and it worked on plastic I drilled 20 wholes about 2 inches wide and the Mirror did not break! great Product and I’m excited about it because it comes with different sizes so I’ll definitely be using it again and the price is great you go to Home Depot and just for one of the adapted sizes you have to give $40 not including the thing that needs to connect to the drill so this is a great buy. also are used it on wood to practice like a plain thick wood and it totally works that’s how I practice before I did it on the actual mirror.

Greater than one weekI ordered this because I needed to cut a bunch of 2.25-inch holes into a 1/2 plywood. After cutting the first hole the cutout was stuck in the saw. I had to disassemble the whole thing and smash it on the ground to get the wood out of the saw. The next time I tried cutting from the top and then I tried to finish by cutting the other side of the board. Again it got stuck and I still cant get the wood out. After all this effort I ended up going to home depot and got myself a Milwaukee single-hole saw and it cost as much as this entire set, but I was able to cut out 10 more holes in the time it took me to get one drilled with this set. Cheaper is not always better. This saw cannot access the underside or remove the cut wood. It also doesnt seem to cut in a way to create space for the wood to come out. Really I dont understand what this would be good for.
