> 3 dayIt came on and worked but I could not pair the transmitter with the receiver cause the button on the transmitter. I even took it apart to try to see what was going on. I was really hoping this thing worked but it was a no go. I wouldnt recommend this item cause it appears to be made cheaply.

> 3 day-TLDR- In short, this device allows you to take whats on one devices (phone, camera, computer) display and wirelessly send it to another display; While most modern devices now-a-days are capable of this (thru miracast, airplay etc.) without this , there are some situations where one device isnt capable which is where this transmitter + receiver comes in handy. Tested with multiple devices windows laptop, android phone and projector and it does work without noticeable loss of quality. +PROS+ +Easy setup +Portable/Travel friendly +Receiver works with HDMI and VGA +Transmission range up to 98 ft -CONS- -No transmitter adapter included for non-HDMI devices -Some lag while gaming

> 3 dayThis transmitter description can be a bit confusing at times, Ive seen it listed as handling 4k and then in other places listed at 1080p only. Im using it on a 1080p screen so thats what Ill be covering here. Im a teacher at a school with an overhead projector way up high in the ceiling. They havent run any long hdmi cables through to a wall outlet, only VGA, and I needed to move the computer away from where the VGA outlet was. My solution was to try one of these out so I could leave the receiver on top of the projector and not have to have any messy cable runs down the center of my computer lab. Now, the kind of stuff I use the projector for are videos and still shots and I just use it to duplicate what I see on my monitor. In that circumstance, under those conditions, its pretty handy. Its a little annoying that it cant just be powered over HDMI alone, but both the projector and computer have USB ports, so powering the transmitter and receiver isnt that big of a deal, it just adds another short wire to the mix. The input delay is noticeable so youd never want to use this thing as a primary display method and forget trying to play a real time game or anything with this as your only video output. But for websites, still shots, and video playback it works great and does exactly what I needed it to. Another thing to be aware of is that this device only transmits at 30 frames per second. Its a little pricey for the performance you get out of it, but it definitely solved a problem I had and most of these transmitter/receiver packages are in the same price range of around $80 to $150. This one goes for $130 as do ones with a similar feature set. So, in the end, if you have a very specific need like I did, this could work out well for you. If youre just looking to transmit from one device way across the room to a TV and need it for something like real time interaction with a game, youll want to look for a different solution.

10-11-2024I have a 360 photo booth that I use at events - I needed a way to show the camera view on a big screen, so I attached this to the cameras HDMI output, plugged the power into a battery pack, and have the receiver on a projector. Problem solved! The receiver is within 20 feet of the transmitter, so theres no issues. Works as easy as plug and play!

> 3 dayThis wifi receiver visually looks great and of a really high build quality, to bad the successfull use of the hdmi transmitter dongle to connect to the receiver was so difficult I found it nearly impossible to use the hdmi dongle with the receiver due to it just not wanting pair. I was able to pair the dongle after many many tries and resets, unfortunately it only worked well for a couple weeks and then it just stopped connecting to the receiver, and I havent been able to get it to connect or even do a reset since. But thats only half the story, it is still functional for use connecting to a Android tablet or smartphone as well as Apple tablets or phones. The connection to a tablet or smartphone is much better experience than when using the hdmi dongle. It connects to my Samung tablet easily using the smart view app and provides a relatively stable and reliable connection,it does however drop the connection at random every so often. The picture quality is good as is the sound quality, there is a however a brief lag between my tablet and the output display. So my feelings are kind of mixed about this device, it looks great and preforms great with a Android device and likely would with a Apple device, but connections via the hdmi dongle are somewhat difficult to a acheive if possible at all.
