Whiteside Router Bits RD1600 Standard Spiral Bit with Down Cut Solid Carbide 1/8-Inch Cutting Diameter and 1/2-Inch Cutting Length

I like this bit like my other Whiteside bits. Woodworking is only my hobby so I cant attest to the longevity/durability of the bit. I have used this bit with a small trim router mounted on a table. Ive checked the resulting cuts with my calipers and the bit cuts accurately and cleanly. The spiraling left clean surface edges and pushed the chips into the dado as I expected. I mostly made incremental passes at 1/8 depth but the few that I did at 1/4 depth looking just as clean but needed to go a little slower. I did notice that this bit was a tad bit harder to get into the collet of my router. When I checked the shaft, it appeared to be about .001 larger than the ones I compared it to. This seems to be within acceptable tolerance to me so I chocked it up to being new.

Love it getting better sheets per bit with this brand than well know brands that are twice the price Customer for life

This bit is a good quality bit and provides a smooth cut . I will continue to purchase Whiteside router bits due to the low cost for a quality bit .

These are solid American Made tools. This down cut router leaves a very clean surface on my CNC routing projects. I only use Whiteside Routers.

Obviously its only a bit, so its hard to swallow paying this much money. Time will tell if its worth it. Ive cut multiple projects with it and its performed great!

This White side down cut spiral router bit appears to of good quality just as all the other White side router bits I purchased in the pas have been. I will be giving this router bit a trial run soon.

Whiteside never disappoints. And I love the story of a WW2 soldier returning to take over his dads shop and turning it into a major business.

My absolute go to for fine smooth cuts. Use this for milling small holes or pockets cleans them out perfectly. I mean…it’s a whiteside bit!! Excellent and will always order more when needed.
