Update ( Oct-2021) : After an year of use the SSD has failed with SMART failures. Did approach WD support , but support process is tedious. They are asking to create an RMA ( return material auth) , and to share the shipping cost , not very happy. They dont have answer what should I do now when SSD has failed and crippled my work. Warranty should cover what can be done when disk is in shipping. Now buying Samsung 970 EVO plus.

Its just 465.76GB, and the remaining GB is for Overprovisioning.

I bought this drive for $110, and for that price, the capacity, and its read/write performance, I couldnt be happier! Just a note for anyone going to buy it however, read your motherboard manual and see if it changes anything when you install it. I just learned today that it disables my 5th and 6th SATA ports, and thats something of a problem for me, though thankfully the solution was a $10 2.5 drive enclosure for one of my 2 SATA SSDs. Thats of course a limitation of the board, but I thought it might be useful info for a perspective buyer to know! :)

Excellent speeds but with speed comes heat naturally be sure you give this a heat sink even a stock motherboard heatsink helps.

Came safely packed, it will help me a lot in building my own computer!

SABRENT-256-NVME FAIL FIRMWARE UPDATE, BLUE SN550 to the rescue, no issues with clean install, good speeds, well designed for heat dissipation. WD-TOOLBOX is easy to use too. eighteen hours so far SN550 has been excellent. i recommend

En mi caso, el disco duro funcionaba muy bien, pero me di cuenta que se calentaba muchísimo, llegó a 70°C. El tema es que lo probé en dos ordenadores y el disco trabaja a temperaturas muy altas... En mi caso necesita disipador para no acortar la vida del disco

This is the fastest SSD Ive ever owned. I bought it after my previous one failed. Windows 10 boots so fast on this that the little wheel doesnt even have time to show up! The PCB also looks really cool on this SSD. Hopefully this one lasts longer than my old one (memory controller failure).
