I ordered a 2TB and received a 1TB. Label says 2TB, but disk manager only shows 1. Returned for a refund. Either mislabeled at the factory or this was used.

My PC build was originally built with an internal 1TB SSD. It worked incredibly well and as a starter drive, it did the job and it did it well. Initially, I had a gaming-specd 2TB WD external SSD that I connected via USB-C that allowed me to install applications and games directly on the drive. This has worked incredible well for about 85-90% of my games and I had no complaints. As I got into some of the newer AAA titles (you know... the ones that require 80-100+ GB of space), I figured it was time to consider an internal SSD expansion to install additional content. I cant tell you how this has compared to the original internal SSD, but it completely improved my experience over the external SSD (obviously). It was super easy to install onto my motherboard and honestly, If I end up needing even more space, Id likely get another WD Black-style SSD. 10/10 would recommend this product.... Especially at the price point.

First off, if you can run a PCIE4 M.2 you should be using a mother board with its own heat sinks, save yourself $90 USD and get the one without it. If you are using this in a PCIE3 slot, get the Gen 3.

I am using this drive for video editing, prior I would have a lot of moments where I was waiting for the files to load. My CPU Ram GPU all are top end but my hard drive was a huge mechanical one. I ordered this in hopes of it making some kind of difference in my work flow. IT DID! This is it, no more waiting for loading everything is loading rapidly as I scrub and add effects etc. This is insanely faster than mechanical drives and significantly faster that my SSD drives. I bought the 2 TB version and tho expensive no regrets gen 4 NVME is legit. For Gaming I dont see the need, perhaps there is a game that is rapidly pulling data where this would be needed. However I have not come across a game that struggles with my mechanical drive let alone my SSDs. My motherboard has heat shields with thermal pads the temp idles around 40 degrees on this NVME. Hope this helps. Side note there are no screws provided so hopefully your motherboard came with them.
