Shipping was pretty quick. Ordered it on a Friday, arrived today- Tuesday, before I got home from work. Installation wasnt complicated. But you do need an extremely tiny screw driver, you a minute to find one. It booted right up to format and was ready instantly. Transferred a couple small games first and it was less than a minute. Then transferred remaining large games(365 GB) in less than 4 minutes. To compare with my old external 1TB drive it took 17 minutes for about 111 GB transfer. So Im pretty happy with the transfer speed, but I dont have to transfer back and forth to play or save now. So far load time on the games seemed faster than the factory hard drive. But then again I havent played very often. Very happy with the purchase just wished the 4 and 8 tb models were cheaper. But Ill find out how it performs more with time. Worth the money.

So reading the Playstation docs, I realized I needed the heatsink (since theres no cooling mechanism for the expandable storage). I returned the non-heatsink version of this drive and ordered the one with a heatsink. The install went extremely smoothly. When you boot up the playstation, it will auto-format the drive as an extended drive in the system. So theres no re-installing the OS or anything like the old PS4 upgrade. You can also configure your system to automatically install games to this drive instead of the built-in one. (I recommend doing that). You will also get the option to move games from the internal over to this one. Overall the performance is not noticeably different than the internal (which is a great thing). Im very happy with it. As an alternative (if youre brave) to purchasing the overpriced heatsink version, you might be able to get away with the non-heatsink version and then attaching your own instead. I noticed there are some reasonably priced third party heat sinks available. The risk of course would be: will it fit and will it be as effective as OEM? Good luck!

Llego ante de la fecha prevista sin ningún problema. Es necesario ver alguno de los tutoriales en youtube que incluso Sony tiene, siendo bien fácil su instalación. Muy recomendado porque permite ampliar bastante la capacidad de la PS5.

Lo compre para mi PS5 junto con un heatsink y funciona todo bien, facil de instalar y rapido.

Very easy to install, that might be more on the ps5 but figured its useful. Capacity and load times are great. Works great with PS5
