> 3 dayId say its totally worth the price, even more, youre actually getting more than what its worth. The sequential I/O speeds are absolutely insane and is very close to what is advertised for (YMMV because setups differ). To enjoy the speeds make sure your NVMe slot supports Gen4 NVMe SSDs. For me, it was literally opening up the back of my machine, and sliding in the SSD. Worked like a charm. Would happily recommend and buy again (with more capacity. got 1TB this time, will hopefully find a 2TB next time).

> 3 dayTL/DR: If you do not have a Windows PC with an extra M.2 nvme slot, you cannot update the firmware unless you use Windows to Go or clone Win OS onto this SSD. External enclosures do not allow it either. There is no way to know if you even need a firmware update without this. But according to WD forums etc, yes you do need to update the firmware and according to below conversation, they all ship with factory default firmware not the latest...This will not run at 7k in a second M.2 slot either on any mobo.

12-11-2024Within 8 months it went down and showing this message. Usually these have a lifespan of 10 years. My whole video projects lost forever. Am I eligible to receive a refund?

Greater than one weekEasy to install, worked right of the bat. Transferred bulk of games really fast (about 500gb in 5 mins). Have been playing Assassins Creed Odyssey of it with all upgrades and running just as fast as internal drive, no obvious framerate drops. PS5 recognises the drives as around 6,500mb/s. Highly recommended.
