I bought this for increasing the storage on my Playstation 4. I have an older WD on my Xbox and it has always worked fine, so I went with the same brand. This one has twice the capacity of my older one and is about 1/3 the size. Its impressive how compact it is. There is a sheet with a few pics for setting it up - its extremely easy. Plug it in, select the drive under storage settings, and choose to use it as storage - done.

Great product, it was easy to install with tons of storage space for all of my games on my P4.

I know it is marketed for PS4 but it does work for TVs as well. In order to do this you have to format it as NTFS, plug it in and it gets recognized. Works very well. My first one of this was for my PS4 which works fine and is very quiet.

my ps4 came with 500 gb and now i have 2500 gbs. love this HDD. just plug and play
