It has a nice satin feel. Very low price for a very useful product. It is a little lower than the mindreader version, and the bolts take up space where you would put the keyboard, although everything still fits.

It is a simple, low cost, but extremely stable stand. Im using it as a stand to set my cable box between the legs and a 32 inch flat screen TV on the stand. Good buy!

This worked perfectly for my little desk. My home office/spare bedroom is very small and I needed something that would raise my monitor a little and not take up too much space.

I have another similar stand from Amazon with a solid top and never had an issue with it. This one is slightly different in design and it is not stiff enough. Any movement in my desk makes the monitor bounce a bit, the front edge of the platform is not stiff enough.
