We have used this several times already to get standing water off the pool cover. It was the one our handyman was renting from Home Depot so we knew its quality before and we are not disappointed. Excellent well made pump.

I used it to keep a field drained over the course of a couple weeks. I put it in a crock that I had drilled many large holes to keep large debris from getting sucked into it, and I bought a float switch. I used 400’ of 2” hose and it worked great. There was only about 5’ of rise in elevation but for 400’ it would fill a 5 gallon bucket in 7 seconds. It is meant to be submerged and does get warm when I didn’t have enough flow into the crock to get water flowing over it. It has a threaded discharge port and I bought the adapter to go from threaded to a quick connector, which works great. Overall it seems like a quality pump. It’s tough and moves a lot of water.
