I didnt use it vertically, I used it horizontally and it worked out great. It was easy to fit to size and I was able to connect it to my ac unit easily. It stops hot air from getting in and cold air from getting out. Mainly, it stopped the bugs.

Fit in window and very easy install.

If your window is somewhere roughly between 17 inch and 21 inch you will need to cut the back plate down to size as the circular duct attachment protrudes out the back. Pretty expensive for what it is but then it appears they all are.

We returned the item, as it was not what we needed.

Took me a second to figure out reading the instructions, but after looking at the product photos online it made sense. Works great!!! Sturdy and great value! The included foam strip helped close the gaps and prevent insects entering.

I have the black and decker portable AC, So The hose ring is too big for this kit, The slabs are a tad bigger than the slabs that come with the AC, I was able to use both kinds of slabs and conjoin them together to make it longer as I needed. I would say buy the hose and hope it has the right ring to fit together properly.

Packaging looks like this is a full kit with a hose. It is not. Im not sure why someone would want a window kit minus a hose, but now I have to shop for one of those as well, hoping it will fit this kit, because it is apparently completely impossible to find a full kit that is 5.1 and matches my unit. (The old hose and hose attachment have melted from so many summers of use).

No issues with this. Very pleased at its easy install.

4 extensions in heavy-duty plastic, not thin. Connectors are easy to use and better than most that come with a portable a/c. Quality product.

Item is just what I wanted. Good quality for the price.
