> 3 dayGot this to map out the electrical outlets for my new house when the electricians didnt bother to put the right info on the panel. This worked perfectly for every single outlet/circuit that I tried. This is really handy and Im really glad that I got it, even if I only need it for one use (if I labeled them all correctly). The only anomaly, there is an outlet that ZI feel is improperly installed, but when I plugged the receiver in to test the outlet, the two lights lit up green to say that the ground was fine. But when I plugged it in - the lights for the entire circuit shut down... Maybe the problem isnt with the ground, but I was sure that there was some problem that this should have detected. But I really love how simple and easy-to-use this is. It really is great. It even comes with a 9-volt battery, which I think is rare (in my experience).

> 3 dayWe had changed out our load center some years back and never got around to labeling the breakers, well thats not good. When you need to know, you often need to know at that exact moment, what breaker is what, so I took this thing and was able to quickly go from room to room or outlet to outlet and find the source breaker/circuit, now no more headaches when I need to find a particular one. This also makes a great NCV detector, so once its duties are done as a finder in the home it can still be helpful later on.

> 3 dayIts only natural for the signal injected at the outlet to bleed over to other circuits. The receiver has to be able to filter the lesser signals and only beep on the strongest. This one does not. It signals on too many breakers to isolate the one I want. So, I took it out to my shed with 6 outlets and 3 breakers in the whole box. It signaled strongly on all 3 breakers. I moved it around and it still signaled on all 3. I spent quite a bit of time adjusting sensitivity to no avail. Im returning it and will hit the Home Depot a little later for a Klein. Oh, and the circuit tester shows open neutral on all breakers.

> 3 dayI have a lot of double single pole breakers, So the unit triggers even on the half of the breaker that is a different separate circuit. However the audible tome will be louder for the correct half; and the feed wires, if sufficiently separated, will signal very discretely on only the correct circuit. So it works just fine. In fact works great.

> 3 dayThis works pretty well for identifying breakers on a circuit. In my case, I had to put the sensitivity at the lowest level and as others have reported, you have to hold the wand in a verical fashion. Having the GFCI / circuit tester is icing on the cake. My second Uni-T product, both well made. I only wish this unit used double or triple-A batteries instead of a 9v battery. Still a 5-Star item.

> 3 dayFinds breaker very well but says I have open ground and I got out my tester I know is good and it say they are fine. The tester part is inaccurate

> 3 dayYou simply plug the tone generator unit (which also works as an outlet tester) into an outlet, and tone is automatically sent to the circuit box. If the circuit is off, however, the tone sender unit is not powered, and no tone is generated.
