> 24 hourThis projector is exactly as advertised. Picture quality is excellent - has native 1080p unlike most others in this price range which only have 720p - read the descriptions carefully. Brightness is adequate - shows fine in a dark room, but you can get away with a little bit of light being there as long as movie is not too dark. Ive used it at a screen size of about 150-160 inches and the quality is really good. Watched movies and live sports and could not be happier. It is a basic projector without bells and whistles, but it does exactly what you would want a basic projector to do. One thing to be aware of is that there is no zoom functionality to increase the projection size, so if you want the screen size to be large, you have to place the projector at a certain distance from the screen/wall, which may not be possible for every one depending on the size of the room. You can still get over a 100 inch picture from a decent distance, so it is still very good. The other negative could be the size. It is a bit bulky (12X9X3.75). Noise level is moderate. You can really hear the fan go when you turn it on, but once you start playing videos, you barely hear it over the sound of whatever you are playing. Bluetooth seems to be working fine with most devices. I cannot get it to connect to my Bose SoundLink Mini, but it did connect to couple of other devices just fine. The built-in speaker is decent and clear. Bass is not high and the quality could be annoying when watching movies, so it is best to use a better quality external speaker. Overall, I would recommend it if you are just looking for a basic projector to watch movies and sports.

> 24 hour1-year review: The image quality of this projector exceeded my expectations. I installed a shelf on the wall well above the head of the bed, and aimed the projector at the wall toward the foot of the bed. The walls are 14ft apart, creating a 13.5ft (diagonal) image. When the input image is cropped due to the aspect ratio of the video, I cant even see where the black cropped area outside the image is on the wall, because the contrast ratio is so good. We dont need a TV in the bedroom now. I plugged in a Roku, so we can stream Nexflix, Prime Video, HBO, etc onto the bare wall. Our walls are white, so we dont even need a projection screen. The image contrast is excellent at night, and good enough during the day, provided there is no direct sunlight leaking onto that wall around the edge of the blinds. The fan noise is loud, but as soon as we start playing a video using the built-in speakers, the fan noise is no longer noticeable. I did not expect such good sound out of built-in speakers. I think adding external speakers would only be worth it if they were much bigger, to get more bass. The remote is tiny and easy to use. However, even though there is an IR pickup on the front of the projector, it is hard to hold the remote at the right angle to cause the projector over our head to pick up the signal. Perhaps I should tape a small reflective surface so it will pick up an IR signal from below. The remote stped working after it fell less than a meter onto the wood floor, so I had to stand on the bed and use the 5 buttons on the projector even to control the volume, which is both awkward and inconvenient. However, TOPTRO sent a free replacement remote that arrived quickly. A few weeks later the first remote started working again. I could control our TV volume from the Roku remote control using HDMI-CEC, but apparently the TOPTRO projector does not listen to remote commands over HDMI-CEC from connected devices. A better long term solution is for TOPTRO to accept IR signals from universal remotes, and also to add support for control over HDMI-CEC. A built-in test image would also be useful when setting up the projector.

> 24 hourExcellent Top Quality Projector. My only reason for 4 stars is that of the throw ratio. I have it placed approximately 11 ft from a 92 4:3 screen and it only fills half the screen. However, I did just receive this unit and havent had enough time to really look into that reason. But from what I can tell so far, I have maximized the image. If I can get the image larger Ill update the post and definitely give 5 stars. I have purchased dozens of projectors. From really cheap ones that have false claims to 4k dlp projectors. And Ill admit, I love my 4k projector! I really like the image from dlp projectors as well (only the native 1080p). But, this TopTro X5 has an image very, very close to the dlp images. Pros: very crisp, bright, vivid colors make this image unbeatable by other lcd projectors. It puts alot of 1080p supported dlp projectors to shame. I know from experience. Cons: the only one I can see so far is that the projector must be moved way back from the screen to get a good size image. I may be wrong about that. Ill update this post after I have time to check that out. It truly is a plug and play, if you will, projector. I took it out of the box, placed it on the shelf in front of the screen (11 away), plugged in my PC, focused the picture and watched a movie. I looked at the keystone function and it works great. The only thing is the size of the image.

> 24 hourAt first i was very impressed, the picture was fantastic for the price. While the sound from the built in speaker was not very good, a soundbar made it irrelevant. However, 5 months after receiving and first using the projector it has suddenly stopped working. The power indicator on the back lights up, but the projector will not power on. I am very disappointed that it would fail so quickly. Edit: company was fast to respond and quickly sent out a replacement. So far so good with the new one, but time will tell if it holds up better.

> 24 hourIts been almost two years since I bought the project. Still works well. The picture quality is great and I especially like the 4D Keystone Correction function, which is so helpful when you have to project from the side.

> 24 hourIve had this projector for 10 months now. I have it wall mounted on the opposite side of a room and is projecting in a projector screen. As you can see in the picture, there is a spot that has appeared in the top left corner of the screen. This probably started appearing about a month ago. There are multiple people who use this projector and sometimes forget to turn it off. Unfortunately there is no auto off feature for when there is no signal detected so the project can run all night if kids or friends use and dont realize they have to turn off the projector separately. Its a feature that nearly all devices have nowadays and its surprising this does not. This can definitely attribute to the life of the light source being diminished quicker than usual. The built in speakers are very good for the projectors size. You will not get good bass but if you are not a stickler for sound quality then they will suffice for the average consumers needs. Once you calibrate the projector, the quality of the picture is exactly what is advertised at 1080p however be sure to measure the distance from where you plan on mounting and the screen or wall you are projecting against. You can get away with a little more distance than advertised but not much before picture quality degrades. Ive tried the Bluetooth functionality and it works really well but you will need to have a device that uses Bluetooth 4.0+ in order for the audio to stay in sync. The only thing that didnt work out of the box was the aux output. It did not split the left and right speakers sound so if you do not have Bluetooth speakers and instead would like to use aux output for audio, you may be disappointed. This may only be a glitch in the projector I recieved though. Some things to note: The fan is moderately loud. It is a constant hum and is louder if you sit on the right side of the projector where the exhaust fans are. It doesnt ever bother anyone while the audio is playing and eventually becomes white noise in the background. Also tried every infrared signal in the book to try to get it to hook up with my firestick remote so that it would turn on and off and control the volume but none of the signals took, I searched everywhere but was unable to find the correct encoding they use and it would be great if they shared that. Eventually I might reverse engineer the signal and if I do get it I will post the encoding on this review. Overall it is 4 out of 5 only losing a star because of the glitch with aux output audio and the inability to auto shutoff when no input is detected. If these two things were fixed then it would be a 5 star product. ** Update ** I contacted support regarding this issue and they immediately responded and have offered a full replacement projector. They customer service has been very professional, punctual, easy, and an all around pleasure to work with. Once the replacement is recieved I will be updating to 5 stars for the phenomenal support! ** UPDATE ** I received the replacement projector less than a week of getting into contact with customer support and everything is working great with this one! Amazing customer support and have update my review to 5 stars due the great customer support!

> 24 hourNot nearly as bright as I expected, . My old 15 yr old projector is WAY brighter (real halogen bulb), no comparison. 7200 lumens is too generous. I just wanted a 16:9 HDMI format. Finicky on focus. Use a test pattern from the internet. Use the manual center focus along with the manual tilt focus. Go back and forth between tilt focus and center focus until everything is sharp to the edges. Contrast is low probably due to the cheaper lenses/coatings. Up close, you can see the pixels though, faintly. Theres no true optical zoom. The (digital) de-zoom reduces the size to 75% digitally, not opto-mechanically. Dont use it if possible since it would effectively decrease your brightness. Picture size is adjusted by distance to the screen. I wouldnt go larger than 100 since the image gets dark. 350 described would be a joke, too dim. Either way, need a darkened room and a good (high-reflective) screen. I regret buying a 120 screen, too big. 80 would be better. The 4D keystone is also done digitally, not opto-mechanically. So theres aspect ratio distortion if too much is keystone used. Overall better performance should be square on to the screen. A longer throw design is better optically but the demand by stupid consumers is short throw for small rooms and large screens. A little disappointed but I was probably expecting too much for a $200 1920x1080 projector. Likely will keep it unless I find a projector with much better performance for less than $350 that has optical zoom and optical keystone. Im not going to use the bluetooth since 80% of the theater experience is the sound so that should be a separate audio system. Its too bad that the money spent on the audio wasnt spent better picture quality. Too much emphasis on smartphone connectivity (typically unreliable) and other tech bling. Designers (Consumers) need to get back to the basics instead of superficial crap!! Too much form over function, frou-frou, these days.

> 24 hourWe shopped around a little but didnt want to spend too much so decided to give this one a try. No technical experts here and no previous experience with the projectors... We like the product although it is NOT QUIET and requires frequent cleaning. Pretty much meets our expectations and we like how it works... We waited a while to set it up and were surprised when about 6 months into almost daily use a yellow/ brownish stain appeared on the projector screen. This is not lenses smudge and keeps growing... At this point it takes up almost half the screen so we cannot use it anymore. Planning on contacting the technical support and will update the review with what I find out.

> 24 hourThis my second projector. My first thought, like so many others, was to have a movie night in the back yard. The first projectors picture was pretty much the same as this one, but it lacked bluetooth which I quickly decided was necessary. The sound is just mediocre on both of these, so I got a reasonably priced soundbar, which made a huge difference. This projector easily connected to it without any of the trouble others have mentioned and the difference is night and day. All of these cameras have a basic onscreen setup menu which remains its native size regardless of whether the actual picture is reduced. This made making adjustments difficult with the first one, as part of the settings were off-screen. This one has a longer throw so I am able to put the projector at the back of the room (yes, I have this now semi-permanently set up in the house) and connected to the soundbar wirelessly and the on-screen menu is displayed properly. Both had the 4d keystone correction and I have played with it and find it easy to use and intuitive. It is nice to have it on the screen and have the option to place the projector off center. It could be a bit brighter or perhaps better contrast ratio, which is why I gave it four stars, but Im nitpicking. It is more than adequate except for really dark scenes. My must haves were a native 1080p projector with bluetooth and 4d keystone correction and this fit the bill. If you dont foresee the need to place the projector off center from the screen, you could live without 4d keystone correction. Ive had it for a couple of weeks and use it almost every night. I would buy this one again!
