06-11-2024Works well but, easy change, fit fountain. item came in brown box. Not the box pictured. I did notice that the one filter the black one that goes over the pump is slightly different than what came originally with my fountain, but it does fit. It has a slight curve to it, like it was made for something else, it is stretchy though it still works, the white filter fit perfectly.

Greater than one weekI bought this pack of filters as recommended for my cats new fountain. When I changed out the last of the filters provided with the fountain (which fit nice and snug inside the drinking pans drain) with one of the refills, it was immediately apparent it had a smaller lip and allowed much of the water to bypass the filter itself. In the attached image, it can be seen the filter pouch is the same size but with a smaller lip, the water will go the way of least resistance, AROUND the filter. With all the water bypassing the filter, the larger particles that wind up in the dish that normally are caught by the drain filter, like fur, will be pushed down into the well, which means Ill have to change the water more often. I already clean it out once a week and change the filter every two to three weeks. Very upset by the lack of continuity in sizing for the filters.

> 3 dayThese charcoal filters have almost no charcoal. They turn green in four or five days. Theyre absolutely pointless. Youre just throwing your money in the trash. If you can return the fountain that you get these filters for, I would recommend doing that as well because you cant find any filters that actually have charcoal in the charcoal filter that fit this particular fountain. Its absolutely theft.

> 3 dayI have a ton of expensive filters for a fountain that died in 32 days but was “out of warranty.” Fountain pumps do last if rinsed and filters are regularly replaced. This one shorted out at the plug and I do not believe the electrical components were properly manufactured to be partially submerged with a pump. We used a surge protector outlet and it kept tripping the circuit, which fried the pump in 4.5 weeks. Metal and water are conductors. We use a silicone mat under it so it possibly grounded the shock so my pets weren’t harmed but they acted bizarre like they were afraid of the fountain. It worked great for a couple weeks and the cats were happy, then swatted the water stream. We have s new fountain from a different company and the cats love it almost as much as sitting in the sink with the faucet on. This is not just junk, but actually a fire and shock hazard. So if you don’t want a 120v shock or have a fountain harm or fatally shock your furry family member, stay far away from this product. We have a newer home that is up to code, so I cannot imagine the danger of having this product in an older building. These fountains will eventually kill an animal or burn someone’s house down. Customer service didn’t respond until my other negative review but only offered a replacement pump. After the serious electrical issue, and wanted a refund. Amazon, of course, didn’t back up their consumers either as there’s no profit in refunds or ensuring their sellers have safe products. If a consumer spends $70 on a pet fountain, $$$ on filters, and special required cleaning brushes, you’d think with proper care and maintenance, the product would last. Manufacturers don’t even have to try anymore and can sell way overpriced junk that you may benefits American corporate overlords. I work really hard, as do many people. This fountain was several hours of work after taxes that are supposed to pay for state and federal regulations to be enforced. In a corporate dictatorship (America) we are all repeatedly scammed without recourse and it’s getting really old. Inflation used to be a supply and demand issue but now that corporations aren’t regulated, they price gouge consumers, imported goods are not regulated, overseas manufacturers enslave the people that make these products in inhumane conditions so there’s no quality, and the only people that benefit is Amazon, federal and state government getting corporate bribes, and the CEO of the company wherever this dangerous product is made. Amazon needs to bring back regulations on product quality. Amazon corporate will still make billions but it doesn’t have to kill our pets, burn our homes down, or cause irreparable harm for the sake of profits.
