I always carried it with the smart keyboard, and it fit well, with just enough give to add ear buds, a stylus, and the occasional paper. Good protection, unobtrusive looks, lightweight. Wish they made one for the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9!

It has soft lining on the inside to keep device from being scratched and zips with lining to make it semi water proof. The side pocket is spacious which I use to carry a Bluetooth mouse, usb c dongle and cables. I was so happy with it that I bought another one for my wife for her Macbook Air.
