I have bought other tomtoc items before and never had an issue with their quality. Reading the other reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence. Buyer beware. This item is being replaced by Amazon and I will update my review if the replacement comes without any issues.

> 3 dayI was carrying my laptop in to work in a sloppy way with a few other items. The computer fell corner-first and hit the concrete hard. Thankfully, my computer was in this sleeve. The bag actually got messed up from the fall (zipper area got a little torn up) but this ended up meaning that my laptop was not harmed at all. The sleeve took the hit. Super happy. Just need to buy a new sleeve now, easy decision.
