This thing is so simple to install . Not expensive, but works like a charm.

Purchased this for my first Intel build ever. I installed this after using the stock bracket and seeing some relatively high temps. A quick search of Reddit brought up many recommendations for this, so I picked one up. It’s reduced the max temp on my 13700k from around 90c to about 85c with my EK Nucleus 360mm AIO. Definitely worth the cost IMO, even came with free thermal paste. I didn’t use the paste, but it’s a nice touch for sure.

I have to say that this new approach to CPU retention has been an amazing surprise. After reading reviews from some well-recognized testing & bench-marking experts, I decided to give it a try. Installation following the online video was simple. After installing the CPU cooler and running it under monitoring software at high-demand usage for several hours, I noticed a real drop in CPU temps!! I am sold!

Look I realize Thermal Grizzly basically thought of these as a solution for the 1700 socket bend but they’re super expensive and hard to find in the States. And yes, there are even some builders that believe these contact frames are just a trend and are nothing more than a security blanket for a nonissue. And in same cases that’s absolutely true. Some CPUs IHS are perfectly fine with the socket bend I had 4 that were completely fine with or without the contact frame. But after 15 builds with extreme socket bend making for poor contact with heatsinks I can say this helps more often than not. This contact frame has lowered temps by upwards of 8C on my builds and yes I tested each one. So yes, in my professional opinion Intel created a problem, never addressed it and these are the best solution, especially for anything Core i7 and up. The fact that Thermal Right created these at such a reasonable price and are indeed just as effective as Thermal Grizzly’s (check Gamers Nexus) seems too good to be true, but as I’ve said I’ve used these on 15 builds and they’re worth every penny.

Dropped an average of 15C after I replaced the stock CPU bracket on my Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX. This fit very snug and secure on the 13th Gen i9 and I couldnt be happier!

Luckily I stumbled upon a video from Gamers Nexus highlighting these. Bought one because why not. Easy to install and it feels like my cooler is more secure than ever. I am running a z790 board with an Intel 13700k. My temps havent even needed to kick the fans on full blast yet.

I tried this modification because I didnt like how much torque was being applied to my CPU when using the stock fastener. I am not sure if it was actually bending the chip but it was under too much pressure in my opinion. Temps improved slightly. Easy to remove original and install and looks cleaner than original silver clamp. Comes with tool to remove and reinstall screws.

Before installing this contact frame on my i7 13700k, I was getting temps around mid 70’s while playing Escape From Tarkov and Insurgency Sandstorm. I have my cpu undervolted by .1 and overclocked by 100mhz (very mild imo). I’m about 5 hours into gaming after installing, and my MAX cpu package temp so far has been 68C, but average is 60C!!! That is a huge improvement from before. Very glad I spend the 12 bucks!
