(3.5 stars) I ordered this thermal label printer for my small business as to not waste paper and ink in my main printer and to have a more professional and simple look to my packaging. I wanted a simple and easy process where I could print out labels quickly and efficiently whenever I received an order from my shop. I sell small bracelets, and my shop gets about 5 or so orders a week so I have a pretty constant flow of packaging, but its not large amounts of shipping labels being printed all at once. This label printer arrived safe and sound in good packaging. The instructions were thorough and not too difficult to follow. The setup wasnt the easiest, but once I got the printer connected to my computer I never had problems with it connecting itself again. It did not come with labels of course so I had to purchase those separately, and they worked perfectly with this printer, I had no issues with them. However in order to calibrate the labels with the printer you have to press the button, and it tends to move the label around and starts printing on about the second or third label, which is slightly annoying because you feel as if youve wasted those first two labels on the roll. My first time printing labels with this wasnt the easiest. Not sure if this is my computer to blame or the printer, but it simply wouldnt format correctly directly through Etsy where I was printing from. I had tried everything. Rotated it, shrunk it, changed the margins, made it portrait, landscape, it never printed right. The way I got it to eventually work was using the snipping tool and making a whole separate file. Once I figured this out it was smoother sailing from there. Every time I want to print a label, I take a snippit, save it, and then rotate and print it. However this is definitely more time consuming then just printing it normally. Another time factor is plugging in the two separate cords to their respective ports. This takes a little bit of time each time you want to do it, unless you have a space where you can leave it plugged into your computer at all times. When it finally prints correctly, the boldness still isnt the greatest. You can still read everything on the label, but its all slightly gray and muddled. I never had any issues sending things with the labels or anything (and this problem seems to only happen with the Etsy labels specifically) but it is a bit odd. To summarize, this is a perfectly functional label printer and I would definitely recommend for large scale businesses who will need to print out lots of labels quickly. Especially if you have a place that you can leave this set up all of the time, this is the product for you. I would just be cautious of the setup, the system, ink quality, and how much effort you are willing to put in for sticker labels. I will continue to use this as I simply like the look of the sticker much better and dont mind the slight hastle, but if you really dont have a preference, maybe stick to printing. Or find a different label printer.

This printer compares favorably to a Rollo printer which, at the time of this review was selling for about $40 more. Paper handling, print quality, and reliability are all the same, and unlike some others the Jadens printer has a single sided hinge that makes it easy to open, clean, and reload if needed; I have seen others that require you to press tabs on both sides to open it. Feeding new labels into the back works well too, once the printer is calibrated for the label size. , while most others have a single sided hinge that makes it easier. The Jadens printer is about the same size as the Rollo, and the black and light blue design make it as attractive – I have tried others with colorful trim that I’m not crazy about in an office environment. It is easy to set up, load, and operate and is a perfect printer. I also use my Rollo for printing occasional notes or shorter documents from Microsoft Windows applications, and I set this up on the Jadens as well. While I have had issues with other smaller brand thermal printers not handling mainstream applications, this printer handled everything I threw at it. Print quality was excellent and there do not appear to be any issues with the printer driver. There were no issues with Stamps.com postage labels or printing from PDF documents (labels from UPS cropped and sent to the printer).

Small and petite size label printer, very efficient and sturdy, works really well and prints quickly. Loves that it gave me an option to print wirelessly so even if Im on the road, I can send a document to it and its prints. Love that attachments that came with the printer also a stand to feed the paper through the printer, you also get a roll of paper and a thumb drive. Setting up the printer was very easy , instructions were easy to follow and printer is very versatile. Great product.

This printer was relatively easy to set up and use. It comes with an actual instruction booklet, which is unusual anymore. The instructions are pretty much step-by-step and easy to understand. There are a lot of screenshot pictures to show you what theyre talking about, which is a nice idea, but many of them arent high enough resolution to actually read the words on the screen. Fortunately, you dont need the pictures to understand the directions. Theyve included a thumb drive with the drivers (which is nice if the person who wants to use it doesnt have internet access), but I found it much easier to go to the website and download the drivers from there. It also explains very well how to load your labels for the first time and have the printer find the edge of the label. Once all the setup is done, printing is super easy and the print quality is great. Be aware, though, that it doesnt come with any labels (well, mine had one in the printer) so if you want to use this they day you receive it, order your labels separately. Im very pleased with this printer, especially when I think about all the money it will save me not having to buy ink.
