> 3 dayAn excellent step forward for Texas Instruments, and a powerfully intuitive tool for any business or STEM, student or professional. Dear reader, I recently started business school and a TI or Casio business level or higher calculator is mandatory for lectures and homework. However the TI family of graphing calculators are much easier to use, and offer much more functionality for real world business applications than the TI-BA II Plus or Professional models. This model, the TI-84 Plus CE offers the same extensive programability that the the TI graphic family off calculators has offered for the past 20 years, however it is much more flexible and performs tasks faster with a more clean and simple to operate, user experience. I am also an owner of a TI-83 Plus Silver Edition (the see through model with silver tone and a B/W screen) and the TI-BA II Plus. Yes, the color screen may be seen as a novelty for someone who doesnt really need or understand the usefulness of such a device; but for someone who is processing real business, geometric or scientific calculations this calculator makes the user more comfortable and competitive because of these evolutionary new features; at last, thats what it did for me. As long as the user clearly understands and practices the process of how to enter data and operate the many tools within the calculator, the user will see an immediate value in using this newer model verses older models. As a business student I quickly and easily programmed this calculator in advance before using this new model in my math class. I programed it to perform, Lower Case Letters, Distance Formulas, Factoring Polynomials, Quadratic Functions and Systems of Liner Equations; easy math for some, but not for me. On the first day of using this new model in my class, I came up with several correct answers faster than any student in the class and because if the functionality of the calculator I was able to quickly understand, repeat, and explain each step of how I got the correct answer. - Yes, in one word: Competitive ! PS: In regard to the color you choose for the body, I would avoid the mid gray toned models. This is because the gray plastic body provides little contrast to the light blue and light green ink printed text on the body of the calculator, thus making the text harder to read. When accurate data entry is a big part of the value of this product, I took this in to serious consideration and decided to purchase the black model. If I could buy the yellow educators model I would, yellow or blue really are my colors. Once I started using the black model, I was more than pleased with the glossy black face and the off white color of the body. This model looks and feels like a smart, sexy, bespoke limousine for a calculator. Thats cool!

> 3 dayI picked the mint version, it’s really aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It makes doing math more fun :) It’s huge (which is a good thing, to me anyway.) No flaws that I can name at the moment. I’m fully satisfied with it!

> 3 dayMy wife owned an older version of this calculator which she used for several decades. She loved that calculator and it worked well and was easy to use, until it died. So after looking at many different options and reading reviews, I took a chance on this calculator. Overall, she loves it. The color backlit display is very nice (nicer than her older calculator) and the keys work well. So overall she’s very happy with it .. with one exception. It looks like TI may have built “planned obsolescence” into this calculator. Her old calculator took 4 AA batteries that lasted a very long time. When those died, she just replaced them. With this new calculator, she has to charge it. She uses it for her work which involves a lot of math. With her old calculator she would got get several years out of a set of batteries. With this new calculator, she had to recharge it after just one project. She’s concerned that just like all rechargeable batteries, they’ll end up dying in a few years and then we’ll have to purchase another calculator simply because the rechargeable batteries died. Only time will tell.

> 3 dayPrices are similar online and in store. My son need one for school. Amazon had ones that were colorful. I got him a color one so he knows it is his. Plus, math can use a little pop of color. ;)

Greater than one weekMy daughter is in honors math and uses this calculator. Although very expensive, it was worth the purchase and I foresee her being able to use it for a few years.

> 3 dayThe TI-84 was really good though, it took some time to learn where everything is. The screen quality was great, and in order to learn were some of the functions were I had to search up were to find and how to use those functions. Overall, it was really good.

> 3 dayThis is very easy to use for us due to the instruction in the course we are using. How ever there should be an instruction manual that should come with it.

Greater than one weekWorks perfect for stats. You’re able to compute binomials, mean, median, mode and graph!! It’s amazing I don’t go to school without it
