Greater than one weekSo thankful I purchased this. I had experience with a smaller, less powerful unit bought at CVS, but even that was helpful. This TENS unit is a lifesaver for me in helping to manage my pain issues. The best part is that you can set it and then there are safety covers that protect the unit, so you dont have to worry about settings being accidentally changed while wearing. I often wear it on continuous mode for hours, even leaving the house with it all strapped on and hidden under my clothing. It has been a God-send. In my opinion, this device is more effective than pain medications and muscle relaxers (for those of us who have built up a tolerance to medications), and is certainly less toxic to the system. If youre wondering if this is powerful enough, this is one strong little unit that runs on a single 9 volt battery. I never set this higher than about 3.5 and it goes up to 8! You can set it as gentle or strong as you want. You can choose different modes and tweak adjustments. I purchased a set of rechargeable 9 volt batteries with a small recharging unit and I honestly cant believe how long the batteries last. (EBL 840 9V Battery Charger with 4 Pack 600mAh Li-ion Rechargeable 9 Volt Batteries) UPDATE Aug. 2017: Ive used this unit for 4 months and it got me through a really horrible time where I was suffering from knotted shoulders and trapezius with terrible trigger points that were so bad I was unable to sleep on either shoulder for nearly 4 full months. The pain radiated down into my upper arms and it felt like I needed rotator cuff surgery due to the muscles all cramping so much. I was seeking chiropractic and massage therapy once a week and taking pain meds around the clock. I finally had to have cortisone injections in 5 major trigger points, but the ONLY thing that truly helped break the cycle of pain and get me through the worst of it before the cortisone was this TENS machine. I can not recommend this unit enough for those suffering from pain. UPDATE Sept. 2017: Well, unfortunately, the unit quit working a few days before I had to travel, so I was forced to buy another one to replace it. The digital display all works, it cycles through everything, but the wires and pads do nothing. I even tried the wires and pads from my new unit, but to no avail. Although I had to wait a month to go through the manufacturer, I was fully refunded for the product and my new one works fine. My original review was 5 stars, dropped to 3 while I waited for a refund, and am leaving it at 4 stars because the seller did take care of the issue and the new unit seems to be working fine (although I did just get it a month ago). I will update if anything changes, but I still stand by the fact that it is a terrific unit when it works!

> 3 dayWe bought this to try with ear clips for the vagus nerve for long nineteen. Once I accidentally turned the dial the wrong direction, as did one of my teens, so I returned the unit because it was too easy to make a mistake with it. The battery that came with the unit was DEAD. A bonus is that is is eligible for FSA tax free spending. If I did not need a TENS device to use with the ear clips, this would have been fine, but for my purpose I did not want to risk it. It is nice unit, but after shocking ourselves twice, I decided to return it to purchase one with up / down arrows.

Greater than one weekI never give reviews but this deserves one. I have a torn tapezius and 4 slipped discs in my neck. Only time I had some pain relief was when my chiropractor put me on that machine, but I cant see him every day. This is the equivalent of said machine. I was skeptical at first and read the reviews. So glad I bought this!

> 3 dayIve used a number of e-stim and TENs units, and this one has been one of the best! Its well made, and has very solid connection points for the cables, as well as a clear display, and easy to follow instructions. As for the actual power, this device delivers! I cant even touch some of the higher settings, because theyre just too intense for me, but Ill get there, eventually. Overall, a solid tool for the price. Just be careful with the connectors, since they are proprietary to this device, and require specific replacements, rather than generic connector cables.

> 3 dayRecommended to me by my Kaiser nurse. I looked up the video for directions on how to use it. It’s easy, pain free, 30 minute session. Was told it is safe to use every day. I use it every 3-4 days and it seems to help. I do have neuropathy in my toes so it may be making it worse. I’m not exactly sure if it is the cause of worsening neuropathy or not just yet. Used 6 weeks so far.

> 3 dayIn 2015 I suddenly had pain in my buttocks. It turned out to be severe stenosis with nerves being impinged. I had a laminectomy which helped for a while, and then the pain returned. Then I herniated a disc that reherniated. For the last several months Ive had growing significant pain which is that times extreme. From the beginning, the only thing that relieved the pain was opioids. I hated taking insane because of the Cardiology and gastroenterology issues, but I did take everything from ketorolac to celecoxib to ibuprofen. Ive taken neurontin, Lyrica, methocarbamol, and other stuff to know avail. Im now on 60 mg of morphine three times a day and it does nothing. The tolerance finally caught up to me. Over the years Ive had several different physical therapists and among all of them only one physical therapist try the TENS on me. (The physical therapist I have now did, but more on that later.) After the first back surgery, a laminectomy from l3 to l5, I had one of my several sessions of physical therapy. In that one the physical therapist took me up to a TENS machine for a little bit and then ask me if it helped. Well it didnt help as far as I could tell so that was the end of the TENS machine. Because of COVID, I searched for online physical therapy when I was once again referred to it. I found AIT and this is by far the best experience in physical therapy Ive ever had. I am one on one with the therapist for the entire time. They really have gotten to know me as we are able to talk at length and she can watch me do my exercises without having to go to other people and with that one-on-one guidance, Ive had much better results. And, she guided me on using the TENS unit. If I had known about this and then guided in its use a long time ago I would not be on any medication. If I have a pain that wont go away, I get a break from it which is a major relief. A pain that I write at two or three if it just came and went becomes a seven or eight if it never quits. Ive been using this for about a month now and I havent had a pain yet that the TENS didnt address at least while it was being used. And, more often than not, the pain will go away after using the unit. Before I had the TENS unit, getting off of the mat that I sleep on on the floor when I woke up in the morning was excruciating. I would do my PT exercises and that would make it a lot better, but getting started on the exercises was dreadful. Now I put on my TENS patches before starting the exercises and the difference is huge. It has taken a little experimentation to know where to put the patches. I have nerves down my calf that dont work, so putting the patches on them doesnt help with the pain. But if I put the patches on the area where these nerves are going down the leg above the calves, that takes care of the pain or reduces it significantly. So you have to experiment to find the right placement. The other thing about this 7000 TENS unit is that it is extremely durable. I often have the tens going as I move around in the wires get caught on something and it goes flying off and bounces on our hardwood floor, bathroom tile, or kitchen tile. It has survived and remained in perfect shape. Really yall, Im having surgery in a couple of weeks on the reherniation and my biggest dread is the process of getting off this high dose of morphine after the surgery. If I had had the TENS machine earlier, I wouldnt have that to look forward to.

Greater than one weekI had a pinched nerve in my back from bench pressing. It was bothering me while sleeping and throughout the day. I got professional massages, used deep tissue massage guns, tried sleeping different ways, icy hot pads, and absolutely nothing worked. I was about to call a doctor to schedule some physical therapy until my friend recommended this product. As soon as I tried it I knew this was exactly what I needed. About three weeks of using this my back is feeling much better. This is a must have for people living an active lifestyle.
