I dont know what these reviews are about having issues with this bit. Ive been using them cutting intricate dovetails on cnc with both vertical and horizontal orientation on my cnc through 4/4 milled exotic hardwood. I obviously need this size bit to handle that. Now I go slow and take about 8 to 10 passes over that stock, but it works wonderfully. Im on my 3rd bit, because Id say I average about 4 dovetail boxes a week, over 6 months. My first bit is rough, but hasnt broke, and I still use it for roughing or test pieces cuts, and my newest one for the higher exotic exotics. So it cant be that I got lucky with a good lot of bits since Ive ordered more over time. Only thing that makes sense to me and from what I see from other reviews is they dont understand feeds, speeds, and depth per cut. Simple if you understand tha you wont have problems

i took no more than 1/8 of material at a time but it broke on the second pass. i am never buying from these folks again.

Broke immediately. Super flimsy!!! Get a descent brand because these are junk

I used this but in a two stage carving. It worked very well in the roughing stage and then followed by a 60° v-bit for the rest of the details. I highly recommend.

Love their bits but they sent me a down cut bit and I didn’t check it before cutting so I wasted a piece of plywood.

I was using this to try to make some cutouts in 18mm (~3/4in) baltic birch plywood on my new CNC machine. My practice cuts on foam worked fantastically, and it initially cut cleanly on the plywood as well. However, the bit seemed to dull pretty quickly. I noticed it wasnt cutting cleanly on my 3rd or 4th run (feathered shavings, torn edges). I dont have another 1/8 bit, so I kept going, hoping to get through the 4 patterns needed to make to finish my project. I almost finished the first one when the bit bound up in the wood and jumped, causing the work product to move, and the CNC happily drove it right through the edge of my nearly complete cut. I started over, and at about 3/8 deep it bound up again; I hit the estop this time to save my work (Ill just rough cut it on the bandsaw and use a flush trim to clean up the edge), but when I looked the bit had snapped in two. I guess this is what I should expect for a $16 bit, and Im not that sad that the bit broke, but Im kinda pissed that I ruined so much work product; wood is expensive these days! I guess you get what you pay for, though for $16 Id expect to get more than 2 days worth of cutting out of it. The bit was probably only running for a total of 8 or 9 hours before it broke. Update: I contacted the manufacturer and asked for a replacement. I just received a 1/8 downcut bit in the mail that was broken on arrival... so not only was it broken, but they sent the wrong bit. At this point Im just cutting my losses, but I know not to purchase anything from this company again.

I own quite a few of high end bits. From different companies who reach out to Instagram influencers. I bought these in a whim to get me through a project. I was amazed and how well they cut for 1/4 the price of my expensive bits that cut like crap. I highly recommend these bits and will keep buying them to run in my cnc

Sometimes you need to cut thicker wood. This bit helps with that task. I don’t know about the longevity yet.

While this long shank might get you a deeper cut in some places, the 1/8 cutting portion is only 1 inch long, widens right out. So dont expect to get deep into corners/along sides because youve only got a 1 inch cut depth before the shank hits the upper wall of the material, prevents you from going deeper on the edge.
