Shirley Temple Baby Burlesque (in Color)

Shirley Temple is a most amazibg child. This was. Early in her career. She was quite young, maybe 4 or 5. It did seem like they sexualized the children and I did find that repulsive. I do realize the world was operating in many ways common for the time. Admittedly, I found it somewhat disturbing.

If I could give no stars..I would! I remember watching these as a child and finding them cute and funny. But through the eyes of an adult..a mother..a mother of a girl (..and boy..) I am beyond disturbed..disgusted.. It breaks my heart. These are glorified kiddie porn. I do not think they should be on Amazon streaming.

This should not be on Amazon its disgusting. Literally children pornography and racism . I understand it was a different time but as its fine we should not be honouring or remastering and bringing back for other people to see.

This is almost child porn. It is not fit to be on Amazon. Poor Shirley Temple did not know better but her parents did. Amazon needs to remove this series.

Offensive, sexual references all over the place, they even made the babies racist and the black baby is running around saying yessuh boss and acting like a dummy. I used to like Shirley Temple when I was a kid. Now that Im an adult, this looks like a pedophiles wet dream.

The babies shouldve not been out in this kinds of scenarios. Even back then it looks awful

I agreed with the other reviewers. This belongs in the category of Child Bride. One cant just shrug off the sexual content as innocent or antiquated.

Why is Amazon advocating child exploitation by offering this very offensive title? I could only watch it for a few minutes because it was just so creepy and disturbing.

These movies are satires of movies popular at the time they were made using young children in the roles. It may seem odd to have the boys topless, but its nothing you wouldnt see at the old swimming hole. One reviewer called it racist because Philip said yes boss. to another character. But somehow she did not comment about when the boy called Philip boss. Looked up yes boss in urban dictionary and theres nothing racist in that term. I did some research and found where church groups were showing the movies for its entertainment value and comedy. Great to see that Shirley Temples natural charm at an early age. These are young kids acting, so theres no polished performances
