works smoothly, bought it for my little brother for his ps4 & it also worked on his ps5 once he upgraded :) you won’t have any problems as long as you don’t abruptly unplug it when your console is on. i’ll be eventually buying myself one once i get my ps5 as my ps4 has 1TB rn :D

it worked great for about 6 months and then broke?? started making this clicking noise and stopped being able to be read lost all my games and data, so mad happened out of nowhere

Great two years then kaput it went. We just get Error messages now… all our data is inaccessible

Review for 2tb PlayStation hard drive: I read people reviews before me who left a bad review and I, myself, was skeptical about getting but pulled the trigger anyways. So far I love it. The download speed to the hard drive is crazy fast. I’ll be running an upload test soon but I don’t see it being an issue thus far.

Allowed my kids to expand their game collection. Plugged it in, formatted it and never had an issue.

I bought this for my PS5. While waiting for my PS5 in the mail, I used this to backup 4TB of files . I needed to reformat two of my other externals with said files. Speeds were consistently over 100MB. The files transferred much faster than I expected! So if you are using it for PC, look no further. Several people said they used this same drive for their Playstations, but I can confirm that the 8TB model did not work. I tried to change the volume sizes and no matter what I did, it did not work. Doesnt stop it from being a great drive though! I think it was more so the HUB aspect of the drive more than anything.
