I clearly got a dud. I might try again someday. Very disappointing. Especially since this is thought to be the best m.2 for ps5 you can get. I purchased the 2tb version and I paired it with the elecgear heat sink. Some people say that only the 4tb get the highest speed, nonsense I say. Theres plenty of people with the 1tb getting speeds of 6500mbs. Oh well good luck guys.

I bought two 2TB Firecudas for my new machine build. In my BIOS, I put them into a RAID 0 configuration and they boot very well. Windows 10 installs and run very well from them. IoMeter with large sequential block IO and deep queue depth results in 6+ GBps. Very impressive! In the same machine, I also have two 2TB WD SN750 SSDs in a RAID 0 and they only get about 5.5 GBps with the same IoMeter test. The comparison is a little apples to oranges since 1) the Firecudas are low-level formatted in 512 block size, 2) the Firecudas are PCIe 4, 3) The SN750s are PCIe 3 and 4) the SN750s are low-level formatted in 4K block size. I have to wonder what the performance of the Firecudas would be if I have low-level formatted them with a 4K block size.

This is perfectly made for the ps5. They knew we would all buy these considering the storage on the system stinks. Honestly went in with ease. I bought the 2Tb because I couldn’t justify spending 900 on a system that costs 500 and it’s working great. The heatsink already on it was a huge plus. If you want to upgrade the ps5 this I’d highly recommend.

This ssd is awesome, I have no numbers to report or technical jargon to use, but I’ve been using it for about a month now and it is so nice to have the extra storage on my PS5. I actually feel like the games I have stored on this drive run and load faster than those on my PS5’s native ssd. Maybe that’s just my buyer’s/new toy excitement, but this drive is top of the line in my opinion. Definitely would recommend it to anyone needing to expand their computer/PlayStations storage.

Im a newbie at building computers, so I had mine built by someone else. Because of that, I dont have any experience with installing other parts and pieces. With youtube and help from my ldr, I was able to get it in with little trouble at all! And now that I know how stuff works inside the case, itll take a lot less time the next time Im ready for upgrades.

This product was purchased so that my husband could blah blah blah (I stopped listening) something about his Playstation 5 and games and saves. What he meant was that I could buy it and then install it for him. He couldnt do it himself because hes as light-handed as a sledgehammer. As a lady of a certain age the technofear looms large in my life, luckily this product was incredibly easy to install in the PS5 by following one of the numerous how to videos on tinterweb. It took five minutes and two of those were spent searching for a teeny screwdriver.

Bin sehr zufrieden. Die Festplatte ist super schnell. Die (Lade) Zeit, die man dadurch spart ist es schon wert. Bei Witcher 3 sind die Schnellreisen, also das wechseln von Orten, kaum mehr mit Ladezeit verbunden. Einbau ist mit Youtube Video recht einfach. PS5 aufschieben und dabei am Laufwerk orientieren, Slot mit einem kleinen Schraubenzieher öffnen, Riegel einschieben, Schraube befestigen, Slot zu Schrauben, anschalten, fertig.
