Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches

This is something I got for work but havent had the opportunity to use it yet. Will order again when needed.

I have a Swingline Thermal Laminator that works great. I purchased the Scotch Thermal 4x6 laminating pouches to laminate family photos. Unfortunately, when laminating my photos, I noticed a rather sizable space around the edges of the photo that did not adhere together. It looks like an air bubble around the photo. Separately, I also bought pouches from Apache (a brand Ive never heard of but found good prices on Amazon) and did not have this issue at all. Ive uploaded a couple of photos for comparison. The first photo is a close up of a Scotch pouch that has gone through the laminator twice. The second photo is a comparison of the Apache pouch (left) and the Scotch pouch (right). You can see that the Scotch pouch has a much larger space around the edge of the photo. This is disappointing as I would have assumed that the Scotch brand would have had better quality. I used 16 pouches and they all came out the same. I will not purchase this item again.

I have a scotch laminator and used these to laminate pictures for my son to use to remember family members we dont see often. I was pretty disappointed. Did it laminate? Yes. But there were bubbles, and it was foggy, etc. You couldnt see the picture clearly at all and it somehow distorted them. I tried it on different settings and even used different photo paper but nothing made it better. I really wasnt impressed at all.

works well and doesnt bubble up at all.

I will use these pockets to cover signs that I put in rental units. It works great and is cost efficient.
