> 24 hourTwo year in with a pair of these hooked to a Mac mini. It has been an adventure. The Mac and these have intermittent issues. The monitor settings are hard to adjust. The price is right, dont forget that.

> 24 hourI just got into the realm of building a PC and a friend recommended this to me as a starter monitor. I read a lot of reviews saying it came damaged, or that it was broken, or had a faulty base. My monitor came in great condition and was packaged properly. The base to the monitor is kind of wobbly so keep that in mind but as long as youre not slamming on your desk consistently you should be okay. Screen quality is great and I havent seen any dead pixels so I feel its a great starter monitor for gaming or anyone getting into the PC world

> 24 hour... and its still possible I might, if it fails. However, so far, this monitor is really surpassing my expectations. Its bright, its clear, its 1920x1080 at 75Hz. The speakers work; not loud, minimal bass. Kinda like an old 9 inch tv. If I want to damage my hearing, I put on the headphones at max volume. I did a dead pixel check. At one point I thought -there it IS! - but nope, it was a just tiny spec of dust on the screen that wiped right off. Within the next 29 days of the return period something might go wrong but so far for $109 + the state government grab, this is a great monitor. As an aside, the monitors default sound level is set at 50%, you might want to put it up to 100% and control the volume from your software since, of course, there is no remote control. Also, if you have an AMD graphics card with FreeSync this monitor claims to support it. It doesnt support nVidia G-Sync.

> 24 hourCan’t speak to gaming; picture quality seems pretty good so may work fine for that. However, i purchased two for work from home setup and letters in Outlook and Word lack clarity and its noticeable and i tried many adjustments, including sharpness (which has only 0, 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% vs 0-100 for all other adjustments.. This is not totally unexpected due to size vs resolution, but what makes it much less tolerable is after one day each monitor has a dead pixel. I guess these arent bad for the price point, but understand these aren’t going to be perfect, especially if used for work. Update: changed rating from 3 stars to 4 because on one monitor the dead pixels were actually stuck and by rubbing the screen I was able to unstick them. On the other monitor, I was within the 30 day window for Amazon and they exchanged it for me. Thank you Amazon! Hopefully no new pixels will get stuck or go dead.....

> 24 houroverall not bad value for the money, but now I do need to buy speakers - the sound quality is awful (I try to appreciate the nostalgic resemblance of 90s PCs, but...).

> 24 hourWell it’s not great and it’s not totally horrible. Sorry for the back and forth but the monitor is fulfilling the purpose I bought it for. You can’t expect this thing to be as great as an Samsung, Asus, etc. My work from home monitor replacement, yes I bought it myself because the company supplied 20” is way too small and old. This monitor works for desktop applications, and it’s so-so. I had one stuck pixel as did my best friend who followed suite in buying one too. Needs some tweaking but works great for my work needs. I thought about returning it over the one pixel but in reality the price and waiting another 2-3 weeks to receive a replacement not worth it with the Covid-prime 2weeks instead of 2 days shipping. Now for my other use, this work from home setup is a spare computer and if the wife takes my main game box I have a fall back. This monitor is horribly fuzzy and washed out in gaming. For the record I have only tried overwatch with a freesync compatible RX 550 4gb card ( it’s a dell tower not my ryzen 5 with 32gb ram and SSD drives upstairs). So I know there’s a big difference but the image and colors can’t hold a candle to my acer 24.5” 75hz monitor with my game box. Does it work, yes absolutely well enough I can ignore the above and enjoy a game. If you want size, cost, and don’t care to game on this monitor it’s decent for the price. If you plan to game on it, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Unless you care more about size & price and can deal with it and the potential of a stuck/dead pixel you may get too. Nick

> 24 hourPros: Huge! Matte screen lots of inputs. Slim bezel, Mine came with a DVI to HDMI cable, no HDMI Cons: Buttons on the back. Power adapter is a wall-wart. Stand a bit wobbly My biggest issue with this monitor is the buttons being located on the back. If using multiple of these ( I have 2 side-by-side in landscape) the buttons are a pain in the ass to use. I use one as dual purpose for a PC and RPI. To switch inputs is an exercise in contortion if you use the left monitor as I do. I would have preferred them on the bottom edge but I have the feeling this was done so these screen could mounted in portrait with multiple monitors. If the buttons had be arrange horizontally instead of vertical this would be less of an issue. The power brick that comes with these monitors is the wall-wart kind where the plugs are on the brick. I would have liked to see a brick with a short pig tail like a laptop brick so less outlet space is taken up. the cable is plenty long enough however. The stand was super easy to attach and in the future I expect it to be just as easy to remove should I need to. However it is a bit wobbly at the point where the stand attaches to the monitor. Though I attribute that to it being such a large monitor and there will be some flex no matter what. It is by no means excessive. Some day I may buy monitor arm so its great that there is a vesa mount option. I so far I love these monitors. The brushed look and matte screen make them look very clean. For anyone concerned they would look very smart in a business setting. These are the first screens Ive bought brand new for personal use and I have no complaints. I use my PC for coding, 3D CAD, Wed surfing, movies/Youtube and some light gaming and everything looks great. They are supper bright. I may attempt to do a color calibrating but Overall Im happy with the current setting. I did change to the Movie setting with bluelight shift 30%

> 24 hourFor $139 and 27 inch its a great monitor but as you see in the picture on the left is the sceptre on the right an old V7 the white color is off seems dim no matter how I adjust the settings this was as close as I could get it to match the V7 but its still an off white and not as bright as the V7 but not a deal breaker for me as its just for the home office

> 24 hourThe picture quality is awesome, especially for the price of the TV. The audio isnt very good, but Ive grown to expect that with sceptre tvs, great price and picture quality in exchange for meh audio quality. its a very easy fix by just plugging in a different speaker, though. I was surprised and confused when I realized this TV lacks compatibility with any TV remote, so I have to get up to shut it off, adjust volume, or go on different inputs. Its never mentioned in the description or on the box. Its very weird oversight, I didnt even know there were tvs made to not work with remotes.

> 24 hourIm currently got my Chromebook hooked up to it and you do have to learn how to doggle through the unmarked buttons. Right to left I believe they go one through six or one through five we have to toggle or toggle between HDMI and vga. Once you figure that out, if you play audio on the TV by itself, it doesnt sound so good. If you play the audio from a computer or Chromebook hooked up to the tv, I cant explain how but it sounds incredible. Its like I added a 27-inch screen to my chromebook. Its not completely plug and play cuz you still have to press buttons on the Chromebook and thats alternate plus one of the top buttons usually the fifth button over from the left on top you got to press those two together. As far as the TV the button on the far right in is the power button. That only needs to be pressed once because once it receives a signal it turns itself on. And that is a plus in the long run. Hooking up a Playstation 2 you got to jump through a few more hoops but it can be done as well if you use the VGA serial connector. But, to use that, you must first hook up something with HDMI so you can rotate the screen over to vga. you better have the PlayStation on when you do this because it will revert to HDMI within 5 seconds if it does not receive a signal from the VGA. You got to have that PlayStation 2 up and running/ updatede PS2 fix! Get the PS2 HDMI converter with the power for USB... works better than the RCA cables :)
