> 3 dayThe write speed could peek only to 350mbps while trying to copy a 1.2 gb file from a Surface Laptop 3 through USB C. I had about 500gb of photos to be backed to this drive and it took about 8-9 hrs to copy from a 2011 iMac this is much expected it all depends on your OS, file system and the number of files to be copied. But overall this is a sleek lil drive, as much as its SSD with the given size you can misplace it somewhere. I am concerned about the reliablilty which why I spend on SSD, only time could prove.

> 3 dayJust what I needed to make my old PC laptop run like new again. I added this to clean the internal drive, uped the RAM to 16GB and added a new battery. Now I should get a few more years out of my old laptop. I just bought a second one today. SUPPOSED to be up to 2X faster. Not that I can tell but it certainly is not any slower. I bought the USB C version to use with my iPad Pro and it works great!

> 3 dayThis SSD is smaller and thinner than my lg v30 phone. It really is the portable drive and it works a wonder. I bought the 1TB version and it just works.

> 3 dayWenn es darum geht Daten vor Verlust zu schützen und länger problemfrei aufzubewahren, geht kein Weg mehr an einer Spreichermöglichkeit mittels SSD. Zumindest was den Privat Konsumenten betrifft.

Greater than one weekThis is my first official amazon review. My wife usually does these. But I purchased this drive about 2 months ago for my brand new MBP. I have never had a drive this fast, and was immediately upset that I didn’t get the 1TB version! I mounted it to the back of my MBP lid with Velcro as I didn’t like it dangling off the side (begging to be yanked out). It’s handles everything I’ve thrown it’s way incredibly well. And I typically use it as a cache for Final Cut Pro so it’s definitely getting a workout. Add to this, I’ve dual booted so I use it as my PC as well, which means I can easily share data between both platforms without every needing to plug in another drive.
