I ordered this disk as a storage drive to record video to. Unfortunately, after around 40 GB of writing, the write speed drops below 100 MB/s. After doing some research, it turns out that this drive has a 42 GB cache that works at the promised 550ish MB/s r/w but once thats full the remaining space on the disk is absolutely pedestrian.

As usual Samsung doing it right again, good buy.

Works perfectly

Didn’t work at first, although it showed up under Device manager Via USB. Had to format it using a third party app ( I used a program called Rufus). Now when I plug it in it shows up under My Computer drop down list. Showing 1.81TB available space. There’s more info if you google this issue.

I love the performance this SSD puts out. I put all my major games on it, and it hasnt slowed me down once. Would highly recommend any PC build

It was a little more pricy than some other SATA SSDs. This is my second drive with my main drive as M.2. I am happy so far.

Bought this to replace a three-year-old dying WD Blue 1Tb storage drive in my work computer. Third one I own, others are 500gb, both the C drives. This one is storage only, not the OS drive. All are fast and reliable. Never had any problems with Samsung SSDs.
