Works as intended, my case made it difficult to install but for anyone having issues look up at YouTube build guides for your specific case

I have 3 of these Samsung SSDs, two 2TB and one 1TB. I love all of them, but I gave this purchase 1 star because of an issue with shipping. Instead of actually reading the package, and matching it with the order, someone at the fulfillment center just grabbed a box that said Samsung SSD and threw it in a packing envelope and shipped it. I ordered a Samsung 870 EVO 2TB, what I received was a Samsung Pro 1TB PCIE. Not even close! Normally I would just chalk it up to someone being human and making a mistake. In fact, thats exactly what I did WHEN IT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME! Yes, several months ago I purchased the exact same drive, and the exact same thing happened!! Nothing like pulling your computer out and getting it ready to install a new drive only to find out that Amazon shipped the wrong one.....and thats what happened to me...TWICE! Seriously, how difficult is it to read the package and make sure the item exactly matches the order?

Over the decades, I’ve installed countless operating systems at home. Many times I have upgraded the capacity of the main drive in Windows and on MacBook computers. This was the easiest ever. Samsung included a downloadable tool that migrated my data from the Windows primary C: drive to the new disk WHILE THE SYSTEM WAS RUNNING! I was expecting the usual removal of the disk, use another computer and SATA-USB cables to copy the data, resizing of partitions, etc. Nope. I was done completely in an hour and most of that was the time to copy the data from one disk to the other. I will definitely be back for more of these drives in the future. Oh, and the new drive runs fine - no problems at all.

Slightly costly as compared to other brands but you should pay for the Samsungs SSD quality and speed. Installed this in my PS4 and could immediately feel the speed in loading screens and gameplay. AAA games load much faster with this installed. The PS4 also runs quieter as there are no moving parts in SSD. Great purchase!

A+ Migration software is the best. You can clone your old drive easily. Software tweaks are great for the advanced user..

I ordered this 4TB SSD to store my large music library. Initially, it seemed to format OK and work. Next thing I knew my computer wouldnt recognize the SSD. Ive never seen an SATA SSD drive behave this way, this fast. Im glad it failed before I copied my music collection to it. I tried the Samsung 870 EVO SSD in another computer and got the same result: dead. I also tried putting it in my external StarTech USB3 dock. Again, it wasnt recognized -- simply not there - stone cold dead! Obviously, a clunker from the beginning. All my other (and older Intel 520, Intel 730, Crucial MX200, MX300) SSDs work fine in both of my Ubuntu Linux computers and, I will add are built a lot better. The Samsung 870 EVO looks and feels like cheap plastic or very thin aluminum that wont hold up over time. $380.00 should buy better quality than this. I returned it to Amazon via their new QR code return system via UPS.
