Greater than one weekAbby is starting an internship with the local congressman. upon arriving she picks up the shifter vibes from his assistant, it arent good vibes. the way he looks at her isnt promising either. But Abby doesnt have much choice, she has to make this a success, it was a wanted position, a position that could start her career once she finished school. on her very first day shes stunned when a man barges into the office and without taking notice of those around has a heated conversation with the congressman. when he storms out again he practically runs her over. when hes close she cant help but be overwhelmed by him. when he smells her and fixates on her its even more strange before he storms off. the next day shes sent to meet Bas Lanier and present him with some papers for a new bill the congressman is working on. theyre hoping she can ease the man a bit. big is her surprise when Bas is the man who towered over her the previous day. there is something between them that has them both interested but also cautious to act on it. when Bas kisses her shes overwhelmed and not really sure why he did. as she overhears her boss and his assistant she knows a lot more is happening and Bas wouldnt be happy if he found out what is really going on but she cant tell him or shell risk her job. she also starts suspecting her employer using her as some sort of diversion to occupy Bas. When things get too dangerous she doesnt hesitate to tell him everything. For Bas there is also a lot to explain to her but about a lot of different things. he understands why she didnt tell everything from the start but now that he knows, they have to start moving fast to safe the future of their pack! a thrilling addition to this series, loved reading it. Bas really is a likable guy, so are the rest of his men. was sucked in from the get go and it was hard putting it away until i was done reading! free copy given in exchange for an honest review

> 3 dayEnjoyed this book. Bas and Abby have an immediate connection when they first meet but it takes awhile for Abby to really accept it. The descriptions of the setting are described very well. I enjoyed all the secondary characters also. There is the really evil person and all the unrest he causes. I would have liked Abby to tell Bas sooner about what was going on in the Congressmans office. I lliked how one of Abbys teachers got the tables turned on him when the teacher was trying to oust Abby from law school. I will continue reading books by this author.

Abby is honest and sweet. She doesnt Understand the pull towards Bas but the pull is inevitable. Love how the other characters from previous books are pulled into the book. This is a great series I have read and enjoyed all 3 books. This is a fast pace book lost of twists and turns, hot and steamy. Worth the price.

> 3 dayThis wolf shifter story centers around Bas Lanier, the Alpha of the largest pack in the Wild Lake area of Michigan. Bas is also top executive at Wild Lake Outfitters World Headquarters, an outdoor apparel store that is one of the wolves largest sources of income. (And also where they get all their jeans, which keep getting shredded each time they shift.) The heroine of the story is Abby, who has just completed her first year as a law student. She has gotten a highly sought after summer intern job in the offices of Congressman Foster. The Congressman and his right hand assistant, Dale, are trying to push through some legislation that will give them control over the Wild Lake lands. Since that is home to a number of wolves pack, losing the land to the state would be disastrous for the wolves. Abby doesnt know it, but the reason she was hired for the internship was not because of her good grades and intellect, but because as a beautiful woman, she would be a distraction to Bas. Bas is described as having a “thick, golden red hair.” “ The wavy edges brushed his collar”. He is frickin gorgeous, “with piercing blue eyes that flashed bright.” (His wolf is also a gorgeous red color, with golden tips.) Pay no attention that that imposter on the cover of the book. Im not sure who stood in for him the day that cover picture was taken, But it sure isnt the same Bas who made his way into Abbys heart and my imagination. Anyway, the real Bas is totally taken by Abby, and vice versa. He knows she is meant to be his mate. Abby knows there are wolf shifters living in the area, but before her internship, had never met one. Now shes met two. First, Dale, the congressmans assistant at work (who is kind of a smarmy stooge, and not a very nice wolf either), and now Bas. It makes for some rather humorous lines, like when Bas shows up to give her a ride, she looks over and says, “Why Mr. Lanier, what big teeth you have?” One thing not quite so humorous is the constant dwelling on the fact that Abby is trying to escape from her life as “trailer trash”. “Oakwood Mobile Home Park fit every stereotype there was about trailer trash, located literally on the wrong side of the tracks.” The put downs describing her home in a beat up double-wide, and her lusty drunk mother with loser boyfriends, abound, starting at the 8% point and through the 49% mark, mentioned at least eight different times. Im sorry, I dont mean to be picky, but as a trailer park resident myself, I am so sick and tired of these stereotypes. I love my home and have wonderful neighbors! Oh, and by the way, few of us are so lucky as to have double-wides. Anyway, putting that minor detail aside, the romance between Bas and Abby is totally smokin, the chemistry so thick I couldnt cut it with a knife. These two are so made for each other! The story line is also gripping, as Abby becomes more aware of the Congressmans plans for the wolf land. Shes torn in the middle, knowing that saying anything about it to Bas would be a confidentiality breach on her part and seriously jeopardize her job. This is definitely a well written and gripping story of love and conflict. Although part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. With each book, the wolf shifters keep getting hotter, and I didnt think that was possible! I dont know what kind of wolf is coming next, but this one is going to be hard to beat.
