Price Pfister 0X8-340A Pressure Balance Valve, Universal Fittings, With Stops

When I opened this to find the stem was plastic (even though the manufacturers website says it is all brass), I returned it. I bought the more compact valve,

Wish the factory settings on mix was a bit better after shower was done tried new fixtures all cold next to no hot water. Had to take apart and adjust.

has only been installed a few weeks, so dont know if any issues will show up. like the ability to locally turn off water to change the cartridge, when the time comes.

Not being a plumbing expert, I was confused about the terms with stops and less stops on some plumbing shower valves. After finding out that the stops allow you front access for future maintenance like cartridge replacement, we chose the one with stops. Very happy with it thus far.

Bigger valve than I thought but it’s very sturdy and get the job done.
