> 3 dayI ship a lot of cartons containing heavy items. Usually, these cartons are palletized and go overseas. One thing I cant risk is mediocre reinforced tape. This tape is exactly as advertised. The fibers that run throughout the tape are strong. You need scissors or a blade to cut it. The gum on the back side is generous. There arent any skipped spots in the rolls that I have used. For anyone who hasnt used water-activated tape before, you dont need a special dispenser with water to do it. Ive been doing this for years, and I use a spray bottle set on mist to wet the back side. Just cut the length of tape that you need, hold up the strip (or you can lay it flat) and mist it down on the gummy side. Then wait a minute to give all of the adhesive time to activate, then tape your boxes! I have 25 large cartons in my house right now and all of them are sturdy. ******* • If you can use a special dispenser, thats best. But theyre expensive, and they are not required. All thats required is a way to get the back side of the tape wet. • Be careful about not getting the tape too wet. If you use too much water, youll wash off some of the glue. • Wait a minute before applying the tape to the box. If you do it too soon, the tape will be more wet than sticky, and it wont stick well. Youll have to keep smoothing it down until it does. • Done right, water-activated tape bonds with cardboard differently from clear packing tape. The glue seeps into the cardboard fibers instead of just sticking to the surface. This gives you a mjuch stronger bond, and it also makes the box stronger overall. • A box is strongest after the tape dries. As it dries, the tape firms up a lot.

> 3 dayThis tape is useless. The adhesive and the paper separates and the nylon strips,in between the adhesive and the paper does not hold. Take a look at the photo. I have never seen that happen with this type of packing tape.

> 3 dayWorks okay if only small amount of water is used to activate the adhesive. Follow instructions for the product on Amazon website.

> 3 dayI’ve use this product before and I like it because once it’s wet, it doesn’t curl up on the edges which causes extra work. This is a good high production reinforced tape.

> 3 dayThe strength of the reinforcement is well below commercial quality. Vendor replaced the product and the new stuff is the same.

> 3 dayOther rolls like this I’ve used were clean, evenly rolled and had a glue odor that was acceptable. This roll is unevenly rolled, and has an awful odor when glue is wetted and some spots of the roll were stuck together, causing me to have to stop, cut out and discard parts of the roll. Obviously, before the sale to me , water had splashed onto the roll. Disappointed but salvageable.
