OXO Stainless Steel Good Grips Sinkware Caddy, One Size

An excellent storage container for my husbands OXO dish wands!!!!

Doesnt hold much. Has to constantly be cleaned or it starts to get smelly right away. Every little spot shows on it. Not a great purchase!

We loved this thing until it came time to wash it. Hand washed it separately and discovered the finish had chipped off.

This works out perfectly for my needs. It looks so much nicer then having my sponges and other OXO cleaning items lay unorganized. It also allows me to keep these things more accessible whereas the organization I have under the cabinet is fine for the items I don’t use daily, this is great for those items I have to reach numerous times daily. The small tray underneath is removable for easy cleaning and draining which I love.

I realize this is a simple thing for your kitchen but I just love it. I saw it at my friends house and she keeps her sponges and the sponge things with the handles in it and it kept everything from getting gross and moldy in sink or getting water and grime all over counter. I wish I would have seen one of these ten years ago. Anyway, it may seem like a small thing, but I just love this and it makes the kitchen sink set-up so much nicer. Yes it is a bit expensive for a little thing that sits by your sink but it has really made me happy and I will now buy this as a gift for people. Ha. They will thank me. Get one. You will be happy.

Have used this unit for a couple of weeks so here are some initial observations. Oxo says stainless steel shell, it looks like it, a brushed stainless steel. It is about 4 x 5-1/2 , with the plastic liner taking up ~1/4. The overall unit is ~5-1/2 inches tall with the drainage plate. The depth of the undivided side is ~5 and for the divided side 3-1/2 (elevated, see pic). The two compartments are equally divided. The unit weighs about 1 lb-1 oz (477 gm). The drain holes are relatively large, allowing for drainage, and this far no mold. I find the stainless steel tends to water stain easily, but our locale has hard water (mineral deposits). It cleans up nicely with stainless steel cleaner we use on the refrigerator or 25% vinegar in water. Again, the drain holes are large enough to be efficient (see pic). The one divided side is split in two and allows for things like sponges to stand up. The other side is undivided and allows larger things like a brillo/scrub pad to sit. For testing purposes I put the Oxo meat hammer into the unit, which weighs 14 oz and is 10 tall, and the unit accosted it wetland did not topple over- this suggesting that it will accommodate things like spatulas and other cooking utensils. I squeeze the sponge with my hand, I dont think the sponge is dry the next morning but we live in a cool climate and conserve electric at night with conservative heating of the home. The unit is easy to use. There is a slot in the clear bottom where you can pour the drained water out to easily remove the clear bottom and drain/wash, or put in the dishwasher. Overall, except for the waterspouts, which are easily cleaned, happy with this purchase. For years, Ive used a similar product for washing silverware and had not been able to find a replacement.So far it has worked just as I wanted. I find this OXO holds more silverware and heavier knives and utensils without tipping over than my old one. It doesnt take up a lot of space on the counter top and seems to come apart and rinse off easily.

Just what we needed. Pricey for what it does but worth it if it lasts awhile.

Great quality and brilliant design. There is a spout on the side that makes it easy to dump the water that drains into the bottom. There is a removable caddy with space enough for two sponges/souring pads. The other side is large enough to hold a soap wand (or as the French say, le sponge stick). Everything is raised above the tub below so it isnt sitting in old, pooled sponge water. The tub can be removed for cleaning. I didnt have any place to put the soap wand and scouring pad, so this has been very convenient. I chose the white model simply because the price was lower, but it looks really good and does not show water spots from our hard water. I really believe Oxo is producing better than average quality products.
