This is a simple, elegant solution to mounting a 2.5 drive in Mac Pros. Positioning the drive to plug directly into the ports on the motherboard means fewer connections and far less to go wrong that designs that use an intermediate circuit board.

The OWC Mount Pro drive sled is a great adapter for a Samsung 850 Evo 1TB SSD and fits perfect in the drive Bay of my Mac Pro 2010.

2010-2012 Mac Pro computers can run Sierra and High Sierra quite nicely with the read/write speed boost of an SSD. Add a compatible graphics card (Radeon RX 580) and Mojave is an option. The OWC 2.5” sled is the easiest way to go.

The OWC mount is awesome for adding SSD cards to your MacPro tower. I have a mid 2010 cheese grater and these fit perfectly. I actually bought 3.

Very nicely crafted. Beautiful blue anodized aluminum sled. This is perfect if youre replacing the standard drive(s) in your Mac Pro with SSD(s), which is what I just did with my boot drive. It works great.

It was a cold and stormy night. The rain pelted the windows, hail becoming more and more imminent as lighting cracked across the skies. I laughed maniacally as I removed the side of my beleaguered 2010 Mac Pro, seeing internals that were straining for life, but had yet to attain it. Its power disconnected, ports laid bare, and a gaping hole where the new brain (A Samsung SSD) was soon to be installed. I chuckled as another flash across the sky sent power surging through the neighborhood.

well made and a true attach drive and slide it in. Apples carrier had issues, which is why I replaced it.

I like these drive sleds but they are overly expensive for what you are getting. I wish they were half the price I paid as I have found cheaper options.

OWC Mount Pro 2.5" Drive Sled for 2009-2012 Apple Mac Pro

Add any 2.5" Hard Drive or SSD to your Apple Mac Pro!

While designed with the OWC Mercury brand SSDs in mind, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 is the easiest way to add ANY 2.5" Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive to your Apple Mac Pro (2009-2012 "Nehalem" & "Westmere" models).

The powder-coated aluminum and open design assists in heat dissipation while the blue color not only looks sharp, but allows you to tell at a glance which bays contain 2.5" form factor drives.

Installation is a breeze. Simply attach your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the four included hard drive mounting screws and swap with an existing 3.5" drive tray. The OWC Mount Pro 2.5 perfectly aligns the SATA connection from your 2.5" drive into the back plane SATA ports on the Mac Pro.

Note: Not for use with Mac Pro models released in 2006, 2007, or 2008
