Ive seen the price fluctuate between 20-50 bucks. The high price is fine, but its steal at $20. Theyre the best option by far for SSDing all up in your Mac Pro.

This drive sled fits perfectly inside my Mac Pro 5,1. The price is a bit higher than that of others but I guess you pay for the quality. I wish it came in different colors - especially aluminum like Apple originals.

Works great, seems overpriced and the shipping time was abysmal, but it did the job. I bought a cheaper alternative first that didnt work. Get this one, it works.

Two of the screw mounting holes are as expected, two are partially open, which isnt great. What I do like about this 2.5 disk sled is that its open to the air (much better cooling).

2010-2012 Mac Pro computers can run Sierra and High Sierra quite nicely with the read/write speed boost of an SSD. Add a compatible graphics card (Radeon RX 580) and Mojave is an option. The OWC 2.5” sled is the easiest way to go.

I love my 2010 MAC PRO and refuse to let it die. For me, the new Mac Pro.s, though impressive, are completely out of the ballpark when it comes to ROI. Therefore, I continue to rely on my 2010 MAC Pro for my day-to-day computing needs (Im running Mojave and Windows 10, each on their own drives. Windows is installed raw, w/o Bootcamp). I wanted and needed to upgrade to using SSDs so I bought a couple of OWCs 2.5 inch drive sleds. They work perfectly! Theyre well made and easy to install. I now have 1TB drives running both my OSs. I also like the blue color of the sleds. It makes it easy to differentiate my regular drives from my SSD drives. If youre contemplating upgrading to SSDs in your 2010-2012 Mac Pro, then this is an absolute must have! I highly recommend this product!

OWC Mount Pro 2.5" Drive Sled for 2009-2012 Apple Mac Pro

Add any 2.5" Hard Drive or SSD to your Apple Mac Pro!

While designed with the OWC Mercury brand SSDs in mind, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 is the easiest way to add ANY 2.5" Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive to your Apple Mac Pro (2009-2012 "Nehalem" & "Westmere" models).

The powder-coated aluminum and open design assists in heat dissipation while the blue color not only looks sharp, but allows you to tell at a glance which bays contain 2.5" form factor drives.

Installation is a breeze. Simply attach your 2.5" drive to the bracket using the four included hard drive mounting screws and swap with an existing 3.5" drive tray. The OWC Mount Pro 2.5 perfectly aligns the SATA connection from your 2.5" drive into the back plane SATA ports on the Mac Pro.

Note: Not for use with Mac Pro models released in 2006, 2007, or 2008
