> 3 dayI picked up a CMP that was missing all its drive sleds. Since I was going to install a 2.5 SSD anyway, the OWC Mount Pro 2.5 was the way to go. The sled works perfectly- if it wasnt anodized OWC blue youd think it was an OEM Apple part. Very satisfied with my purchase. I only bought one, but Im thinking of adding another SSD so Ill probably grab another...

> 3 dayI found this to be a better option than the Newer Tech Adaptadrive solution as this connects the drive directly to the logic board. No bridge connector, which I found to have a rather high failure rate for me. Ive had mixed luck with OWC products but this seems to be a solid solution.

> 3 dayFor that select group of people that own one of these 10+ year old beasts and have yet to put a SSD in it, these sleds are the way to go. Four screws to mount the SSD to the sled and the switch out for the existing HHD sled is trivial. Much faster and simpler than the equivalent process in a PC case.

> 3 dayUpgrading Mac Pro 2009 to SSD 1TB drive. It fit Samsung EVO SSD perfectly and slid into hard drive bay like OEM product.

Greater than one weekUnlike Mac Pro tray adaptors, this replacement tray allows a direct connection between the SSD and internal SATA port. There is no intermediate socket, nothing to break or get flakey. Just a nice solid piece of kit. Not the cheapest, but the simplest and most robust SSD tray for 4,1 and 5,1 Mac Pros.
