> 3 daySo I have alwats purchased the previous blue tube that everyone is talking about. But recently, mu daughter has been getting bad sores in her mouth. Its been months and been told by her dentist about all the possible culprits. (Just fyi, bleeding gums can be gingivitis, vitamind deficiency. Or even the scary c word). After running some blood tests, her results came back good. But left me puzzled on why my 5 year old constantly has sores that take longer than a few weeks to heal. I did some research and quickly realized that a common problem is sodium lauryl sulfate in almost all toothpaste, including the original paw patrol tube. Apparently, sls can cause irritated gums and canker sores. I ended up doing an experiment and bought the most affordable, natural, sls free toothpaste I could find. It has now been about 2 weeks. And all the gum sores she had healed. I was shocked. Fingers crossed that that was the reason for it. Also, I didnt even realize that this is the new formula. Everyone complaining that it changed is correct. Its a new formula, unsure if they discontinued the blue tube. But honestly, I am glad they have this sls free version. Its so much cheaper than the other brands. But i am wondering if the taste is bad, since I read other reviews stating their kids hate the taste. I guess I will be trying it tomorrow!

> 3 dayMy daughter has used Orajel for kids since she was old enough for fluoride toothpaste, any packaging (mermaid, unicorn, Shimmer & Shine, even dinosaur, as long as it was Orajel because it was the only one with the taste she liked). I noticed the colors on the tube had changed, but didnt think anything of it until she said the new stuff burned. I tried various of the new package flavors, she hated them all, Ive gone to EVERY STORE that sells toothpaste within a 10 mile radius and cant find the old stuff any longer and have tried Amazon and other online retailers. Ive also tried other brands, and she doesnt like those, either. I just a few minutes ago happened to think to try the Orajel website for purchase options, and that’s when I saw lots of reviews and realized that others are as unhappy as we are with the changed formula. Why in the world would Orajel change something that was clearly working and people liked? Reminds me of when Coke was replaced with New Coke - what a foolish idea, change something that is working great and for which you have a loyal customer base. Maybe the decision makers at Orajel are too young to remember the Coke/New Coke fiasco, but it ended with the company losing a huge portion of its market share and going back to (old) Coke to stop the dam break. Orajel needs to do the same before someone else comes along and does make a toothpaste our kids like, OR, we parents decide that if we have to buy a toothpaste our children dont like anyway, we make darn sure NOT to make it Orajel. After all, Orajel put us in this situation.

> 3 dayMy children spat and cried at the new flavor. Love the attempt to get away from unnecessary chemicals, but this is mint flavored now.

> 3 dayMy son is always a paw patrol fan. I tried to get all kinds of paw patrol dental stuff just to get him to brush. He loved it at first sight. But he doesnt like the flavor as much. So far, he is still eager to brush because of the cover...

> 3 dayMy kid loves it and that’s all that matters to me so if she keeps liking it I’ll keep buying it for until she decides to switch again

> 3 dayThe boys think they’re brushing with Dino toothpaste, so whatever it takes to get them to brush. Will keep buying as long as it keeps them brushing.

> 3 dayIt’s good for toothpaste. The taste is kind of odd but it’s not so bad. It’s clear so it was hard to see the toothpaste on the toothbrush.
