Im using this to hold my big, heavy, dell work laptop thats too thick to fit in most stands, as well as my smaller chromebook vertical on the back of my desk to save space.

The product is exactly what it claims to be. I had been using one successfully for many months rotating between various Linux/Windows LG, Lenovo, Acer, Dell and Asus laptops and Chromebooks. I purchased another for my den, one slot of which holds a Dell laptop LInux server. No laptop has ever experienced any issue using any of the slots - no scratching, denting, or cooling/overheating issues.

I originally purchased this stand with the idea that it was good enough for a vertical stand for two laptops. I was wrong. The stand looks sharp and is made of metal with a nice rubber bottom. The gripping mechanism is adjusted with an included Allen wrench and is easy to do. My laptops are held in place with rubber grips and feels very sturdy. This will be my permanent laptop stand and I will be looking into other products by Omoton.

Adjustable width makes it a winner. The dock itself is of considerable weight hence it will hold your laptop sturdy. Mine is a 13 MBP with transparent casing.
